I was making this map and I downloaded lots of stuff from w3sear.ch. I didn't copy all the author's names because I thought they were in the readme. I just found out that the readme only contains "downloaded from http://www.w3sear.ch/". Now I have to go back again to all the pages that contains the stuff I downloaded so I can get the authors' names.

I think it would be a lot easier for mapmakers to give credit to the authors of stuff is to put their name in the readme. I know this is very easy to do in PHP, so it's not so hard to do.

Thanks.

The ReadMe file is optional, so at least almost no submitter adds one. That "downloaded from wc3sear.ch"-ReadMe is site-generated (although I don't really see the reason for it  ). It would be a nice idea if the site-generated ReadMe would contain the authors name, but that's up to Darky to decide. I think VGsatomis idea with the self-made txt-file is the best idea, spares the time for searching the authors later.

Whatever. There have been similiar threads about giving credit to the original authors. Likewise, just follow satomi's advice.
