As you may already know, TBC is close to being finished and will more than likely be released before the christmas rush.

So what can we expect to see in The Burning Crusade?

First of all the level cap will be raised to 70 from the previous 60. Although blizzard are still messing around with the experience curve, they have hinted that it may take 2x as long as 50-60. There will also be new spells and talents to learn as you advance the next 10 levels. You can expect spells like Bloodlust for Shaman and Water Elemental for Mages.

Since the highest level monsters in the game (not boss) are level 62, it would be nearly impossible to level without any more higher level quests and monsters. But through the Dark Portal, Draenor will become accessible giving level 58 through to 70 a chance to quest and gain experience.

More about Outlands

The day TBC is released there has been talk of a world event happening. The portal will be opened and then everyone will rush through into the zone know has Hellfire Peninsula. The Alliance will rush to Honor Hold or Temple of Sha'naar whilst the horde rush to Thrallmar and Falcon Watch to get the quests there. In between these four encampents lies Hellfire Citadel, the stronghold of the pitlord Magtheridon and the new fel orcs. Hellfire Citadel will consist of 3 5-man wings and a level 70 25-man wing.

From Hellfire Peninsula you will most likely advance onto Zangarmarsh the home of the Naga of Coilfang Reservior.

The place most people will hang out will probably be Nagrand with its capturable city Halaa. The city will be able to be bombed from the Horde and Alliance towns close by.

Now IMO the coolest looking place in Draenor would have to be Netherstorm. You will need a flying mount to get from land mass to land mass. On the very edge of Netherstorm lies Tempest Keep: The mighty Tempest Keep was created by the enigmatic naaru: sentient beings of pure energy and the sworn enemies of the Burning Legion. As a base of operations for the naaru, the structure itself possesses the technology to teleport through alternate dimensions, traveling from one location to another in the blink of an eye.

With Outland serving as the strategic battlefront in the ongoing Burning Crusade, the naaru recently used Tempest Keep to reach the shattered land. However, when the naaru set out from their stronghold, Prince Kael’thas and his blood elves quickly raided the dimensional fortress and assumed control over its satellite structures.

Now, guided by some unknown purpose, Kael’thas manipulates the keep’s otherworldly technologies, using them to harness the chaotic energies of the Netherstorm itself.

Though Kael’thas and his minions maintain a tight hold on the keep, a band of draenei recently hijacked one of its satellite structures, the Exodar, and used it to escape Outland. In seeking out other worlds, the draenei, led by the ancient prophet, Velen, hoped to find allies who would stand with them against the Legion and its nihilistic Crusade.

Flying Mounts

There isnt very much to say about these... similar to the mounts already in the game except you will be able to fly them. Some places in Draenor will only be accessable with the flying mount. So far we know there will be Nether Drakes, Armored Wyverns and Armored Gryphons. They of course will only be usuable in Outlands.

So what about Azeroth? Will there be anything added there?

Of course! Two new races will be added to the game. Draenei for the Alliance and Blood elves for the Horde. (There is a lot of lore behind them so i won't get into it but you can read it here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/draenei.html
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/bloodelves.html)

As you may have noticed Blood Elves will be getting paladins and Draenei will be getting shaman. This will be an interesting aspect. I will finally feel what its like being frostshocked! (Look hard enough and youll find more lore behind it)

Enough about the races, time to move onto each races starting zone :p. there will be three new zones each for both of the new races. Blood Elves will start in Sunstrider Isle in Quel'Thalas where their city, Silvermoon has been rebuilt. The Dreanei will be starting in the Azuremyst Isles, north-east of Kalimdor their capital city is Exodar.

Mounts: Blood Elves will be recieved cockatrices as their mount, bird with a lizard tail. Dreanei will recieve Elekk as their mount, giant war elephants.

Two new instances will be added to azeroth: Karazhan, located in Deadwind pass and The Caverns of Time in Tanaris. Karazhan will be winged like most dungeons added in TBC. It is where medihv spent most of his time while he went mad.

The Caverns of Time will have 3 wings, 2 5-mans and one 25-man raid. In one 5-man you will help Thrall escape Durnholde Keep. The other 5-man your group will have to protect medihv whilst he opens the Dark Portal. The 25-man will take you back to wc3 when you will take place in the battle of Hyjal.

Now that ive mentioned socketed items ill go into more detail about it:

Whenever you get an item, there may be a chance it has a socket in it. You will be able to put a gem into it which can increase one of the stats by a certain amount. This should make people stats unique. Also, if you put a certain colored gem in the same colored slot there will be an added bonus.

Most of these gems will be obtained from jewelcrafters but bosses may also drop gems which can be put into the socket.

There is only one way to remove a gem, you have to replace it with another which will discard the current gem, breaking it.

Arena PvP

You can also look forward to Arena PvP 2v2 battle, 3v3 battle and 5v5 battles. The unique thing about this is that you can battle your own faction and may even be able to xrealm battle people in it. Although you can really get anything until level 70, lower levels can still participate. When however you start battling for real, you will be put into a ranking system. I bet you're thinking "Thats crapt, its basicly the same as the old honor system.", Well you're wrong. The system will allow you to verse people around the same rank, which should mean fairer fights, also it doesnt matter how many battle you do, it will not increase your rank, the Win:Loss ratio effects your rank.

When you do reach the highest rank, you will be able to choose gear with equal power to raiding gear.

New honor and LFG system

The current honor system is being scrapped for one main reason; it was a painful timesink. Instead of getting honor and ranking up against other people you will get honor and choose when to spend it. PvP items will cost a certain amount of honor points which you will have to earn by killing the opposing faction. DK's will also be removed.

The old LFG system would link across the cities, Blizzard made a big mistake by making it global. People spam in the channel causing people to turn it off. This makes it very hard to get a group. Although we know nothing of the knew system, you can expect some info on it next week.

Finally, how health will change PvP in WoW forever

Instead of the current 1stam:10health it will be changed to 1stam:15health. This should make longer fights instead of just people one-shotting each other. You can expect a level 70 warrior to have upwards of 10000 hp.

In conclusion, PvP will be changed for the better. Raiding will be easier since the cap is being reduced to 25 instead of 40. 2 new races with unique mounts. New profession and profession recipes. New zones to explore.
New instances with wings:
Auchindoun
Black Temple
Caverns of Time
Coilfang Reservoir
Gruul's Lair
Hellfire Citadel
Karazhan
Tempest Keep
Zul'Aman
Level Cap Raised to 70. Shaman for alliance, Paladin for Horde and much more to come.

(Yes, i typed all this up myself, except for writing in italics)
Do i win a medal for the longest thread on the forums? :p
