we all wanted to be wisps bob, I assure you. Interchangeable moustaches. Ah. Those were the days. But seriously, there was speculation that it was going to be pandaren, and one blizzard dev even announced on the forums that it would be the kool-aid man just to shut everyone up.

well, i think they really screwed it up that way. I don't mind it being draeni, as long as they look cool. It doesn't even matter to me because I play horde, but regardless, all the little n00bs who have never played wc3 (tons and tons and tons of them) complained the draeni look ugly and crap, so blizzard screwed around with them and came u with the draeni that will be implemented into WoW. they suck. The draeni were hideous, and they were really cool, so it balanced itself out greatly. now they've gone and upset that balance.

I am just upset by how the Races were put in. I think that the Blood Elves and Dræni should be a part of a new faction, Illidan's faction. Think about it like this:

In FT the Blood Elves sided with the Naga, why would they suddenly go to another side?
In FT who is it that saved the Dræni from exctintion and then the Dræni swore their lives to?
What connection do the Dræni have to the Alliance at all?
What about the bloody Blood Elves and the Horde?
Where the hell is Illidan and what does he think about two of his Races\allies suddenly turning on him?

that brings up another point: I firmly believe that Illidan is dead, slaughtered, got his ass pwned by arthas, whatever. There are people saying he's still alive, but I think that would be a really cliche and stupid move for Blizzard. Arthas kills Illidan. Final cinematic in TFT. We all saw it. Now why contradict it? Aside from that: Blood Elves are no longer connected to the alliance because they have tapped dark magic, and have ben shunned and outcasted and spit on. /spit blood elves.
The draenis excuse is the worst though. but it makes sense, maybe. Archimonde and Kil Jaeden are both draeni, but they were tempted and corrupted by the previous leader of the burning legion Sargases (sp?). Anyway, the remaining draeni that did not succumb to his corruption fled and landed in outland and settled there. A group of "angelic like" beings helped them to get there and to help keep them safe from the burning legion, which was ever hot on their trail, so they decided to follow the light, very similar to this stupid bloody pallys you will find in WoW. /moon pally.
As well: It wouldn't make any sense for draeni to ally themselves with the horde because the orcs like totally destroyed them when they got there. As for a third faction, 2 is enough for me, and plus: naga and illidans forces will ALWAYS be just a neutral race. helping whoeveer they feel, but not starting anything either.

I do not see why the Blood Elves, Dræni, and Naga would disband even if Illidan were killed. Together they could easily hold their own against both sides and use their "neutrality" to the fullest to play each other and profit from it.

yeha but thats the thing. There have always been two sides, horde and alliance. they might band together in shady times to keep EVERYONE alive, but we know it can never last, and that peace is only temporary. i absolutely despise the naga (like christ, being imprisoned in a tomb in the centre of the maelstrom for 10 thousand years really works wonders on the body) and the draeni have always been a rserved race, wanting only to follow the light and prosper, not like the horde, desperate for war, or the alliance, greedy for magic. the same goes for the naga, except...the've been entombed for 10k years, so the haven't really had much of a chance to get their war-groove goin' on. regardless, they are neutral and thats exactly it. they side themselves neither way and they aren't agressive enough to be their own faction vying for dominance over all else.

Just because you have a faction does not mean you need or want to vie for position. Neutrality would serve them well as they can take advantage of the other Races, which is precisely in character for them. Give them the ability to fight the other two if they so desire, but it does not mean it has to be 1v1v1 for the factions.

You guys obviously haven't done your research ;P! Illidan is most definately alive. After failing YET AGAIN to stop the Undead, Illidan's master Kil'Jaeden (spelling?) imprisoned him in the Black Citadel in Outland. Illidan now is forming some new plot, and has sent his two races to join the Alliance and the Horde as part of his plot. And yes the new races implemtation sucks, not only have the Draenai somehow re-evolved back into the Eredar, they are completely different. In WCIII: TFT they were stealthy rogues, alot of whom were permanently invisible, and yet in WoW they can't play rogues! Not only this, but them reverting to the Eredar makes even less sense when you think about the fact that they are under the control of demon-minion Illidan and the Eredar are meant to be goody-bloody-two-shoes!!!!!. All of this adds up to me not buying Burning Crusade and shows that with the loss of it's founding fathers Blizzard has become a ****ing shitty company.

*mutters* At least Illiadn's alive, one blow to the stomach doesn't kill a demon/demonhunter/elfarchmage/someotherthing.

You posted this twice dude.

We were not debating that so much as if we think he should be alive.

I agree with you fully, it would be stupid had he died, in fact I think it is incredibly stupid he was even hurt but I have gone through my reasons for that in other posts.

Yay three more days until dark and light comes out Shados! You already get it? The rest of you should play it too, it will be fun and you are all invited to join Clan Akkaba, provided you can meet the requirements.

Well, I preordered an activation key for it but how do I use that on my DnL Community account?

And what ARE these mysterious "requirements"?

We do stay on topic, we just talk about other stuff as well :p Threads delineate, it is the nature of having people talk for prolonged periods of time. The only time it needs to get worried about is when it encompases a page.

Arthas is not immortal, and Illidan has lived for tens of thousands of years and has had almost the entire time to train with his swords.
