Is there a way to save custom units I have created so I can bring them over to other maps; or take custom units from maps made by others and implement them into my own maps?
As what, ruler said, CnP'ing units is the only way getting around, it is easy if you got few units but if many, it will take you time but I assure you its worth it.
How would I go about doing that?
I know it sounds simple, but I just can't find out.
Sorry for the trouble.
EDIT:
Like manually clicking them (where they would have the green highlight around them) and copying them from there; then pasting them onto a new map I load later?
Or use the Export Unit Data and Import Unit data option on the object editor... every tab in the OE has their own export/import option...
but take note that import data replaces everything on the new map (example: if you use import unit data after you have already made custom units on the new map, only the units from the imported data set will show)
