Rounding Numbers in the WE

Does anyone know how to return a rounded number in the WE?

I need to round any number in the hundreds down. Eg, 165 = 100, 2456 = 2400. I can't seem to find anything searching the forums, and this is pretty crucial to what I'm doing. Is there any way to round a number?

Heh, I know an easy way but it needs log... darned blizz for not implementing it -.-

The formula;

Pow(10,R2I(Log(yourNum)))

Assuming Log was actually implemented.

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but you could do a trigger where if X is greater than/less than whatever values you want to round to the nearest hundred, you could just change it. Depending on what X is, it could be really easy or really hard to refer to, though.I'll get the conditions and what they're listed under to you in a bit.

It's its own section... the condition is Integer Comparison. Hope that helps.

Couldn't you do
Integer - Mod(integer, 100)
This way it would get the remainder of the number divided by 100, then subtract that from the real integer, thus rounding down. Rounding up would be a little more complex, but it looked like you wanted it to automatically round down.

I was thinking about mod but for some reason it never clicked -.-

And Iron, Log = Logarithm base 10. Basically, if 10^x = y, log y = x.

Donut's way is better anyways though, since his can go beyond the first digit. (Mine would require more tweaking to)

Do you know if when a number is divided, if it's rounded? For example, if I were to divide 165 (not using Mod) which is 1.65, would it go to 2 or to 1?

Try convert the number to real, divide the number with 100, convert to integer and multiply with 100

Iron, if you set someInt = someReal/someOtherReal, it truncates the decimal, if that's what you want to know.

floor : 100*(var/100)
0...99->0, 100...199->100, 200...299->200

ceil : 100*((var+99)/100)
0->0, 1...100->100, 101...200->200

round : 100*((var+49)/100)
0...50->0, 51...150->100, 151...250->200
