1) Make sure you have at least the 1.27 patch installed. The campaign WILL NOT WORK properly without it.
Specifically, Chapter Three will not load at all.
2) Download the Rise of the Blood Elves Intro cinematic and extract into your Warcraft III/Movies folder.

3) Download the campaign and place into your Warcraft III/Campaigns folder, or My Documents/Warcraft 3/Campaigns
if you have the 1.28 patch.
4) Play the campaign!

In a daring campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, Illidan faced off against the death
knight Arthas in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne. However, Arthas defeated Illidan and left him
wounded in the snow, allowing Illidan to witness the creation of the new Lich King.

Kael'thas Sunstrider and Lady Vashj, realising their defeat, brought Illidan with them as they fled back to
Outland. Seeing their master's ugly wounds, they decide to bring him back to the Hellfire Citadel so that
he may recover... but, unbeknownst to them, Outland was in a state of a minor civil war.

Soon after that, tensions rise in the blood elven society as the Grand Magistrix Alessandra Katryne
proposes a dangerous idea: reclamation of their homeland, Quel'Thalas.

disappointment and sorrow, and she will fight to ensure the best for her people.

Lor'themar wants to ensure a promising future for his people, but is not willing to cross certain lines.
[​IMG] Aewynne Maysong - Ranger-General of the Blood Elves. Aewynne is a good-willed and noble
leader, who cares about her home more than anything else.
[​IMG] Lady Liadrin - The Blood Knight Matriarch, Lady Liadrin is fiercely loyal to Kael'thas,
but values justice above all. Once the situation changes, Liadrin is not above fighting
with people she once called enemies.

reclusive, focusing on some unknown future.
[​IMG] Dar'Khan Drathir - In the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas, Dar'Khan betrayed his people,
ensuring Quel'Thalas' destruction. Now, he rules over the undead of Quel'Thalas, viciously
hunting all remaining elves.
[​IMG] Sylvanas Windrunner - The Banshee Queen, ruler of the Forsaken, a powerful undead faction.
In life, Sylvanas was the ranger-general of Silvermoon and bravely defended her home against
the Undead Scourge in the Third War. She continues the same battle in undeath.

and fiercely loyal to Illidan, ready to give her life for him at any moment.

Main Changes
- World of Warcaft: The Burning Crusade CGI Cinematic now plays as the intro to the campaign.
- New map: Chapter Ten - The Siege of Black Temple.
- Campaign cover picture updated.
- Heavily rewritten dialogues in: Chapter One, Three, Four, Five, Six, Nine and Eleven (Ten), and in almost all of the interludes. Other chapters have received some minor alterations to dialogues.
- Rewritten intro descriptions to almost all maps.
- Lowered collision size of almost all units for easier pathing.
- Updated a lot of tooltips.

- Difficulty altered in most maps, harder maps should now be a bit easier.

Techtree Changes
- Arcane Affinity now reduces magic damage by 25% (was 20%).
- Magic Sentry now instead gives Towers the ability to increase nearby friendly units' mana regeneration.

Hawkstrider Knight
- Requires Sanctuary instead of Spire to be trained.
- Cleave now strikes 25% of damage to nearby enemy units (was 12%).

Sorceress
- Can now once again use Polymorph.
- Can no longer use Illusion.

Arcane Golem
- Resistant Skin is now called Prismatic Barrier and also gives Arcane Golems passive health regeneration.

Blood Knight
- Holy Light heals for 250 hit points (from 125).
- Seal of Protection now lasts 30 seconds (from 25).
- Wings of Retribution increases movement speed and attack rate by 40%. Has a new special effect when cast.

Ballista
- Damage buffed.

Phoenix
- No longer has Spell Immunity. Instead, has a new ability, Spell Resistance, which reduces magic damage taken by 50%.
- Now costs 7 food (from 6).

Kael'thas
- Can no longer use Summon Lava Spawn. Instead, can use Summon Al'ar, which summons Al'ar, a powerful phoenix, to fight alongside Kael'thas.

Alessandra
- Has a new voice. (Valeera from Heroes of the Storm)
- Soulburn has been significantly buffed and now drastically increases Alessandra's attack speed.
- Dark Soul's Voidlord is no longer immobile.

Lor'themar
- Has a new model and a new icon.
- Flames of Retribution no longer does friendly fire. Now costs 75 mana (from 85).
- Blood Cry now affects a larger area. Now costs 50 mana (from 90).
- Can no longer use Dashing Winds. Instead, has a new ability, Living Bomb, which adds extra damage on each attack and causes units that die while under the effect to explode, dealing damage to nearby enemy units.

Liadrin
- Has a new model, a new icon and a new voice.
- Desiccation Aura is no longer visually displayed.

Aewynne
- Paralysing Arrow's range is now 800 (was 600).
- Evergreen now costs 50 mana (from 75).
- Marksmanship has been significantly buffed and now drastically increases Aewynne's attack damage.
- Volley of Arrows no longer does friendly fire.

Sylvanas
- Has a new voice.

Kalecgos
- Has a new voice.
- Abilities are now stronger.

- Lowered all units' collision size, which should make it easier to move units around the map and reduce units getting stuck.
- Fixed a bug in Chapter Twelve which could cause the boss fight to begin at the beginning of the map.

    Alright, finished the campaign and before going into it any deeper - The design is flawless.
    I like the chapter layouts, I adore the story, there are many new abillities, new units, models, it's chaotic and I love it.
    Only concern of mine (this campaign isn't easy), and only problem that I had had during the playthrough of this campaign is:
    I feel the heroes are too strong (compared to units).
    The chapter where you control 5 heroes is both great 'cause it lets you use so many different abillities and explore more but you can just play with those 5 heroes and even not use your units (except maybe ballistas) which makes it a little less interesting. (even when there aren't 5 heroes and are much less, they feel like the only unit that needs your attention) Enemy units are pretty much the same compared to their heroes.
    Maybe it's supposed to be like that but I am not a fan of overpowered heroes compared to anything else.
    All in all, 9/10 for me, specifically not 10 for that reason :D

    I encountered a bug in Chapter 5:
    The moment the first cinematic begins it says main quest complete, then it plays both the beginning and ending cinematics at the same time and it says main quest failed Kael has died and then the game over screen comes up and cinematics continue even when the game over screen comes up.
    I can't even play the 5th chapter. Could you please fix this?

    Glad you liked it! Honestly, I kind of like overpowered heroes. I think by the end of the campaign it gets a bit tiresome making an army again, so it's good that you can play more freely with heroes.

    I honestly have no idea how this could happen. The defeat condition for Kael dying does exist in chapter five, but the ending cinematic only plays once all green player buildings are dead. I'm not sure how Kael could die instantly or why the ending cinematic would play.

    Could it be a newer patch bug? I don't know how that works, but I know they changed a lot of stuff with the newer patches.

    I don't think it's related to the new patch. I actually have an idea what might be causing it. @Mr2xT, after the "press any button to continue", does the map take a few seconds before it loads?

    Your two campaigns are the best ones I've ever played! I wonder if you've ever considered making a Scarlet Crusade campaign? I think it would be really awesome, perhaps adapting the Ashbringer comic into a campaign, or aspects of it. Everything Scarlet Crusade/Scourge/Lordaeron-related is awesome in my book.

    I haven't played this newest version of Rise of the Blood Elves, or Curse of the Forsaken yet, but I can see you've added several great models made by skilled people here. And there's TONS of great Scarlet Crusade models around too! Abbendis, Renault Mograine, Inquisitor Whitemane, Saidan Dathrohan, and great normal units as well! I think you could make something incredible with them.

    BTW, I'm playing this now on a MacBook Pro, dunno if that has anything to do with it, but I'm experiencing a few bugs.

    1. In the level where you're destroying the generators so you can make the portal with M'uru, clicking Alessandra makes the game freeze on me.

    2. In Liadrin's introduction level, her icon looks all static-ie. In later ones, it's her normal one from Hearthstone.

    3. In the level where they get to the Ghostlands, clicking Lor'themar makes the game freeze on me.

    4. In the level after the cave level, clicking on the blood knight several times so she'd tell her jokes, the game froze like "I went to Undercity to get a facial. Ugh, have you seen these people? I said--" and the game froze.

    5. In the level where Kael'thas is attacking the Black Temple, clicking the elven barracks made the game freeze on me.

    Just tested it, it took about 15-20 seconds. Unsure what it could be, every other map in the campaign seems fine though.

    Thanks, glad you liked them! No plans for a Scarlet Crusade campaign, but the Scarlet Crusade faction is getting updated a bit in CotF v3.0. As for the freezes, I've never experienced those and I haven't heard from anyone else either, so it's probably related to the MacBook Pro.

    Alright, I think this is why it happens: once the map loads, the initialization trigger adds all green player buildings to a unit group. The ending trigger is a periodic event that checks every two seconds if all units in that unit group are dead. Since the map has technically loaded, but the initialization trigger hasn't run, the unit group is empty so the ending trigger runs, which also results in units getting killed.

    I will fix this and send you the fixed version for now, in the future I will update all the maps in the campaign so this doesn't happen.

    Gotcha. Hopefully as I go, I'll be able to complete the whole campaign without needing to click on anyone who makes it freeze, if there are any more after the Black Temple level. Or I'll just have to resort to allyourbasearebelongtous if there's no other option. Pity that skips all end of level cutscenes.

    I can hardly wait for CotF 3.0!

    I had that exact same problem and I use a MacBook Air. Since updating to the latest WC3 patch it's been fine. Except now Rise of the Blood Elves crashes fairly regularly. Again, probably an issue related to WC3 on a Mac.

    probably because mother shahraz only appears once and her role is not too important?

    Hey, tomoraider, I know this will sound dumb but I recently found the video of the next Curse of the Forsaken 3.0 (neverr know you posted it months ago) and is pretty impresive, tough I saw you'll change some heroes and remove others, not to mention the spells, I hope for the items as well, really wanna try. I, like others, want to know when this campaign will be update.
