[JASS] Restoring Old Maps

Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to restore old maps (ROC) and I'm having a problem with one particular map:

Who's the Vamp v1.47c

It has the hero inventory issue...where somewhere along the way a bnet update effected the map and made it so the heroes no longer have inventories. It's an easy fix in an unprotected map.

But, this one is protected. I was able to unlock it and open it in an "Enhanced" World Editor but when I go to save the map (with or without) making changes it spits out one the following two errors:

"trigger has been disable due to errors"

or

"worldedit.exe has generated errors and will be closed"

I've also been searching on how to contact the maps creator: DemiDemon but have had no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I have simple but clear answers.

NO DISSCUSION OF UNPROTECTING MAPS ON THE FOURM!
Thats a rule and is clearly in the rule section!

The triggers not saving is the result of a cheap deprotector not restoring the jass properly, often for the globals and stuff making them give errors.

Thats all im willing to say on the subject.
If you want the map so bad contact the makers and if they give no reply give up.

I am not interested in ripping off someone's work, I simply want to fix the inventory problem so that the map can be played as was intended.

As I stated previously, I have tried to contact the creator without luck. His/her bnet name was dangerwar but is now DemiDemon.

I'm also not asking how to unprotect a map, as I already have (apparently not very well). I was just hoping that someone with more knowledge could help me fix this cool map.

If you don't trust that I will not rip off the creator, I can email the map to you. There are a group of us that would badly like to play this map with inventories.

P.s. Wouldn't you want an old map of yours to live on if people are enjoying it?

Yes i would like a map of mine to live on but it states in the rules NO REQUESTING OF UNPROTECTED RECOURCES OR MAP PROTECTION so I can understand how annoying the lack of inventories is, but inorder to fix it you will need to deprotect the map which you are techinaly requesting which is a breach of the site rules.

Try playing an older version since I have not encountered this problem in all the versions of WTV i have played.

if you cant contact the author then bad luck, and dont go touching he's stuff, if hes protected it its obvious he doesnt want people touching it whether to fix it or to steal it.

Maybe im the only who has noticed that the problem you mention does not exist in a latter version of Whos The Vampire!

Simply host v1.69 or simlar versions which have the bug fixed for you already.

Hey Dr. Super Good, thanks so much for taking the time to look into another version. The problem with that though is that 1.69 is a TFT map while 1.47c is an ROC map. My friends and I play ROC, therefore we cannot use 1.69.

I prefer to stick with ROC as that's where all of my friends are. But that's not the issue here. I guess I was just hoping that someone in this map making community would be willing to use their knowledge to help out in restoring this map. Either in pointing me in the right direction or very generously taking the time to fix it themselves and relock it etc. I have managed to restore a few others such as the 11th Vamp (the same inventory issue), but Who's the Vamp was just the main one that my friends and I had wanted fixed

They should upgrade to TFT since there are loads of maps for TFT like WTV. There is no reason for them to still use ROC since tft custom is roc + tft maps but sadly only tft people can host / join any in TFT.
Dont know why battle net does not allow tft people to join roc players games but I guess they have their reasons. . . I think. . . .
