I was working on a great melee hero, adept at close-quarters combat, before WoW consumed me. Now all I see is BWL day in and day out. Below is a a list of his abilities:

Enclosing Death: Once cast, the target is stunned for 3 seconds and the Dreadnought is swiftly charged into it dealing additional damage on his next hit. Each level increases range, bonus damage added, and shortens the cooldown.

Level 1: 3 second stun. 300 range and adds 30 bonus damage to the Dreadnought's next attack. 20 second cooldown. 90 mana.
Level 2: 3 second stun. 350 Range and adds 40 bonus damage to the Dreadnought's next attack. 15 second cooldown. 100 mana.
Level 3: 3 second stun. 400 Range and adds 50 bonus damage to the Dreadnought's next attack. 10 second cooldown. 110 mana.
Level 4: 3 second stun. 450 Range and adds 60 bonus damage to the Dreadnought's next attack. 5 second cooldown. 120 mana.

The idea behind this spell is based on a way to get to the target. The stun allows for smooth completion of this function while immobilizing the target for the bonus swing. The rate of charge would have to be pretty quick certainly, to allow for maximum functionality. The range is short due to the charge ability's nature; it needs to be that way to allow for the stun to operate correctly. See the Warrior's "Charge" ability in WoW for a direct example.

Ground Splinter: Each attack the Dreadnought wages has a chance to deal additional damage in an Area of Effect around the Dreadnought. This damage also slows all nearby enemies in an area of 350 for a short duration.

Level 1: 10% chance to add 30 damage to an area around the target of the attack. Slows for 1.5 seconds.
Level 2: 15% chance to add 30 damage to an area around the target of the attack. Slows for 2 seconds.
Level 3: 20% chance to add 30 damage to an area around the target of the attack. Slows for 2.5 seconds.
Level 4: 25% chance to add 30 damage to an area around the target of the attack. Slows for 3 seconds.

The basis for this ability would be a way through chance to contain the Dreadnought's prey while allowing for a bit of bonus damage. The duration on the slow isn't bad enough to not be able to escape but yet allows for an extra attack or two and the damage is a nice bonus for a melee hero. Think of Pulverize with Thunderclap's slowing effect reduced by about 35% movement. Passive abilty here.

Resistant Plating: Negates one harmful magical effect and adds a small amount of armor. After this effect is negated the Dreadnought must wait before an additional effect can be negated.

Level 1: 6 Minute cooldown for a spell to be negated and adds 1 bonus armor.
Level 1: 5 Minute cooldown for a spell to be negated and adds 2 bonus armor.
Level 1: 4 Minute cooldown for a spell to be negated and adds 3 bonus armor.
Level 1: 3 Minute cooldown for a spell to be negated and adds 4 bonus armor.

While being a melee hero, the Dreadnought will suffer severe nukes. This is a nice ability to give him a bit more combat endurability while not overly suffering the opponents. His mana pool will naturally be small so 2 passive abilities would be a great consideration, thus making this one passive aswell.

Ultimate:
Hatred: When used, the Dreadnought imposes his anger upon all enemies in melee range. Hatred deals damage based on the Dreadnought's strength. Each point increases the damage done and mana cost.

Level 1: Deals 5 damage per strength point. 40
second cooldown. 175 mana
Level 2: Deals 6 damage per strength point. 40
second cooldown. 200 mana.
Level 3: Lasts 7 damage per strength point. 40
second cooldown. 225 mana.

Description: During the Third War, *********** the Legendary Dreadnought spent much of his time serving in the ranks of the Scourge eliminating the High Elves. His extensive encounters in Quel'Thalas have
made him more endurable to magical assaults and more quick to hand out undescriminating punishment to all who stand before him. Adept at close-quarters combat.

A few notes I had forgotten: A strength hero, he was designed ot have 25 levels to him, and THANKS FOR READING! :D Please take a crack at creating this hero. I also do realize that you are not supposed to place spells in this forum, however I did so as a complete overview of this hero's in-game role.

Thanks again!
