Creative Situations Competition


Details: For those if you who dont like introductions, heres the breakdown. You are provided with a map, and of course you CANNOT change the terrain. With this map, and the given task, you must preform the required task, with certain restrictions.

For example, get your peon across the river.

Restrictions:

-Do not use a boat
-The peon MUST survive and reach the otherside, for a minimum of 2 seconds. (He must be standing up or otherwise while still alive on the other side)
-You cannot walk across the water, or swim, or even TOUCH the water for that matter, as it is toxic and will melt off your skin.
(NOTE, this is not the task im just providing an example)
You must make a cinematic of the task being preformed. This is where some of the cinematic skills might come in hand. But the rest is up to you!
I dont know if this should be judged or done by a poll or w/e, im just throwing the idea out there.

Requirments:

1. -you must achieve the task
2. -you must comply to the restrictions
3. -you must make it a cinematic
4. -you must use the map provided
5. -no altering the terrain in anyway.

I think it would be a fun competition, it would combine story telling with triggering, with creativity, and a sense of humour. i didnt decide the task yet but im sure we can decide together if anyone is interested in this. i DID design this as a humour competition so keep that in mind.

You simply change the name to "Situations Challenge"

Leave the "stupid" part out of it (people will forget the entire purpose of it, and just comment on how stupid it was to call something else stupid )

And the purpose is to just give people a situation, a few rules, and they need to make a cinematic that fills the purpose

Then it gets judged, and the best one wins

You would need to have a list of what will be judged and how, and get this approved by the admins for points, at least if you want lot of people to join in on it

looks funny, but i won't join it, already joined other 2 contests (if aproved) and i'm not good making cinematics, i love making heroes and spells and such stuff like that ^^

Yeah, I love makin spells and tigger systems, although cinematic map-making is pretty easy

You could use the GUI and waits to do all the pans and simply add camera objects where you want the camera to go

Thats about the hardest part of it (takes long as fuck), but after that you just add the things you want to happen in real time

Sounds like a good contest. I would join but i already have a couple projects. (aka 3)
I would like to see this be finished and or approved.
For the example task could you create something like a sheep bridge?

This sounds pretty fun, but we'd need a couple people saying they would participate before we jumped to things. Besides, how many weird things can we make people do...
