You can reduce the delay on any map by hosting it with Visual Custom Kicker, Pickup.Listchecker, or that tool meant for DotA that I'm not familiar with.

To reduce the lag in your actual map don't put too many doodads or destructibles in the same area, don't spawn to many units, pre load units, ability's and buildings by placing them in the map before it starts, keep ZViewCutoff Distance less than 5500(don't worry about this if you didn't modify camera), and remove all your leaks.
