Pre-Scourge Lordaeron: The Road to War

Part 2 of my Lordaeron terrain. No more boxy sky...
Edit: This has nothing to do with the scourge. At all. That's just to distinguish it from the others. The path to war probably refers to orcs, or trolls, not undead. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Added a midnight version.

looks great! However it would look a little better if you added a little more green grass, it looks too dead to be summer.

It uses Lordaeron Fall tileset, maybe it should be fall, but I'd like to think of it as late august or early september.

Terrain-wise it's okay, but it's em... I don't know? Pointless. I was expecting some kind of foreboding feeling but it's just a forest that, though nice looking, lack something unique. Spice it up with.. something. It's just dead right now.

Looks like a real coniferous forest. The only problem is the end of the map. But that isn't a real problem. + rep.

I would try adding a little green. It may look better. Maybe not though. It's up to you.

Ok now with more green and lordaeron summer tileset. Also added an arch where the road goes over the hill.
Also added a midnight version to the thread.

To cleary gives that idea, you need to add a hill or something at the backgound. If you don't, the first idea you get by looking at the terrain, is that the map ends there.

The midnight version looks really strange. Change the lightsetting to midnight, and make the fog less dense.

The light setting is midnight.
The black fog is supposed to make it look like midnight, since when can you see at midnight?

the midnight looks pretty cool. i don't think you need to change it.

You can see at midnight if you are at a large grass/dirt field. And, of course, the moon must be... I don't know how to say in english... hmm.... "large".

In that conditions you can see in midnight.

In my opinion, your midnight terrain will look better if you change the fog to dark blue. But a very very dark blue. I mean:

Green: 0
Red: 0
Blue: 45


This aways look good.

Once your eyes adapt and gain nightvision you can see quite fine.
