Pien 「ぴえん」 DEMO

This bundle is marked as awaiting update. A staff member has requested changes to it before it can be approved.
Pien 「ぴえん」 is a horror Warcraft III custom map based on Tadasumen's free Unreal Engine 4 game: Pien. It is a 2020 Japanese trend and meme about the Pleading emoji. The Unreal Engine 4 version of the game is popular among Virtual Youtubers and Japanese Youtubers.

The definition of Pien 「ぴえん」 according to Lately Japanese:

The objective of the game is to survive from the Pien creatures lurking in the labyrinth. Use your flashlight to gain clear vision and flash mysterious Signs (Circle of Pien) located at random locations. (Don't forget to chant "PIEN!" while doing it) If your flashlight is running out of power, collect the batteries scattered around the map to recharge it.

I made this map for fun. The project started because I was messing around with MDLVis and thought maybe I could use the models I made for a map.

The map uses GUI Triggers and some custom scripts.
The map is saved in 1.31.1 version of Warcraft III.

The DEMO version of the custom map only features Single Player.
The full version will feature Multiplayer with 23 players.

    1. Terrain is bare minimum.
    2. The Flashlight buff looks like Holy Light but the ability like the Soul Gem.
    3. Seems like batteries respawn more in one zone than in more parts of the map. I found most in the northwest.

Right now it's too simple. Maybe the original also has such a gameplay but the atmosphere is what makes it much more fun.
There are much better maps than this one at the moment, Maniac with Saw, Mansion Murderer and others.

Maybe you can spice it up with mods and more gameplay variety as well as visual atmosphere.

    Awaiting Update.

How to Add a Screenshot to your Map Description

    • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
    • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
    • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
