The De-Evolution - The Draenei were at first (on the right) a race of primitive beasts,they lived on Draenor and had conflicts with the orcs(who were also primitive)
They mainly lived out of scavenged resources and poor huntinge,but they had a powerfull killing skill,they just lacked weapons and crafting.
The secondary part of the evolution(middle) the Draenei were quite changed,having a shaped face and a raised taste for black magic.They finally reached a tech tree and learned to craft weapons ,majority made out of wood and black ritualistic enhanchements.Still, only clothing was their major crafting skill,they didnt discovered metal.Orcs evolved aswell,they discovered thorium and made catapults.The Draenei had siege weaponry,but it consisted on weak demolishers and salamanders found lurking underground,wich the Draenei tamed.
The last step of the evolution (left one).After the Big Bang! on Draenor,they made a mass population movement,wich they migrated to Azuremyst Isle.Now these beings were fully evolved and actually superior to the other races and even to the orcs.The fusion with the Naaru and the refuge on Exodar made them god-like.Their crafting was maxed,and they became extravagant when it came to jewelry and magic,which was plentyfull on Azuremyst.
Well come to think of it,the Draenei became gods after this large migration,but why do we still find traces of their ancestors,thats because in the wake of the migration,some of them remained on Hellfire Penninsula and remained primitive and savage as they were the first time.
