Is photoshop really 1000 dollars? That's fucking ridiculous... is there any alternative to the 1000 dollar one that is MUCH cheaper (like 60 dollars...)?

The reason I go for photoshop and not one of the other programs is because you can make WC3 skins in it and it's got all the right tools, I find gimp too simple.

Yeah, w/e. If you have a tablet, I think GIMP is fine. SuPa used GIMP and he is a great skinner. It is worth it though. If you want to do graphics in general, it is worth it.

Just skinning, you basically need the brush so yeah. xD

Really all I want is stuff like recolor brushes for my skins because it's easier to work with colors when it's black and white, if that makes any sense.

No where near as expensive, and does pretty much what you need.
