We urgently need to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide usage on food.

http://www.dhmo.org/

Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

-Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
-Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
-Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
-DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
-Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
-Contributes to soil erosion.

Lol, you nearly got me. Chemical names do sound scary.

Can't say I'm too familiar with palm oil. Is this the case that foregin countries clear forests to make room for their palm oil plantations? Is this why you want to ban palm oil? If not; explain before I sign anything.

Just to make something clear. You get rid of palm oil, then what mate? You use vegetable oil instead? Then you will want to ban that too because people are clearing forests for vegetable oil products. You dont blindly ban something without proposing an alternative solution. Plain ignorance!

Or are you just a troll?

Production of palm oil grants employment opportunities to thousands of people and battles poverty in the countries where it is widespread.
I think that is more important than saving a piece of land where endangered apes might live.

Fight for something actually useful, such as taxing the churches.

palm oil is a major health hazard.(palm oil can cause heartattacks.) that is a very important reason to get rid of it. in my country it is so overused that it is difficult to avoid eating it. destroying the rain forest cause further global warming as well. (or so i believe.) i had to stop eating several of my favorite chocolates because of my boicott og palm oil.(i dont buy anything with palm oil.)

Clean Mettalic Water (H2O with other metals) does only good to the health of living beings.
Palm oil does only bad to people (I'm not sure about the rest beings).
I know the fact that we produce it from trees but for harlems shake olive oil it's the same thing made out from olives and it's much more healthy.
Also I see no reason to harvest oil from multiple sources when olive oil it infinite (just think about it. we produce it from trees. it's not like petroil. it's just oil)
So if humans need oil just plant a @ olive tree and get your @ oil or just plant a @ palm tree and die from @ cancer.
Nuf said.
I'll go smoke some weed to calm.
Smoke weed every day mon.
It's good for the health mon.
Joking.
Just don't use thiis palm oil people.
Exept you die without it.

^ give me what you're smoking

There is somewhat of a point in going against palm oil due to the very high level of saturated fat. Pretty much everywhere in Sweden these days we use sunflower oil instead, which is supposedly healthier and certainly contains mostly unsaturated fat.

About skipping chocolate with palm oil -- why the fuck would you eat chocolate with vegetable oil in it anyway? That's a fucking violation of chocolate. The only reason I personally see it as truly acceptable is to create certain textures (lindt lindor. no idea if it can be done non-artificially).

Calling emulsifiers additives is a bit... At least for Soy Lechitin, the usual emulsifier:

Wikipedia said:
Lecithin is a generic term to designate any group of yellow-brownish fatty substances occurring in animal and plant tissues composed of phosphoric acid, choline, fatty acids, glycerol, glycolipids, triglycerides, and phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol).

It's basically a soybean extract, a bit like you'd use egg yolk when baking / making sauces for texture. The other additive is vanilla... which isn't really much of an additive either, especially if "genuine" vanilla is used. Now vegetable oil has no place in chocolate, it just dilutes the taste.

Not sure if the situation is different where you live and every chocolate bar you can find is ghetto...
