Map explanation:
Begining:
You start of with a child, choosing either the
Human Shooter (marine model)
Dwarven Shooter (rifleman model)
Orc Shooter (space fel orc model)
Starwars Shooter (olofmolemans storm trooper model)
Halo Trooper (thinking about removing this, the attachmentpoints are strange and it doesnt have a default weapon >_<)
you can also choose to random one of theese five heroes
(altho, all the heroes are the same, only model changes )
(THE MAP IS 5v5)
After you've choosen your hero, you get transported to your "town"
This is a small city with a armor shop, a gun shop and some overall city terrain, this is the place you are between the rounds.
Gameplay
The basic idea is that you shoot down heroes with balls, (using the golfball model at this site for projectile)
I have managed to set up the Real Archer system to work, so that should be done! ^^
Now, everything after this text is unfinished ideas:
There is going to be 3 areas, the areas are going to randomly selected each round.
first area:
Woods
This is a different area, i'm going to use real projectiles here, normal attacks..
But when the target is moving / uphill the miss chance will be like 75-85% (havent decided)
Making it a pain in the ass to hit people!
Basicly, the team who survives longest wins
second area:
Paintball arena (City)
A city area, completely flat, using the Real Archer system, so if the target moves away you miss. simple!
No civilians here, its a restricted paintball area!
The team who survives longest wins, again.
third area:
Village
CATCH THE FLAG! =)
There is going to be civilians here, you are not going to loose anything from hitting them but ofcourse the projectile will stop when hitting them ^^
Goal is to take the flag from one location to another, when you pick it up you get a attachment with a flag model, so that people easily can see who's having it!
Using Real Archer system for this one too, prepare for glory!
Things i need help with:
- Terrain, really i'm not very good with it ><
- Some triggering
- Ideas for other heroes
- General ideas
- Beta testing
Triggers wich i cant do myself:
Camera:
I need a basic camera system,
I can make it folow the unit, but i have no idea on how to make it get zoomed in
The idea is that you view the map from the eyes of the hero, giving it a more "realistic feeling"!
Rounds:
I havent really looked into this, but i doubt i'll be able to do it on my own..
A round system which chooses either area 1 or 2 or 3 and moves all heroes to either bases in the areas or random points (gonna be different for each area)
Multiboard will be done by me tho
There are probably alot more shit that has to be done, but thats all i can figure out now..
I am going to create the loading screen and that myself aswell.
