One last trigger help

Hi again thanks for the last (i kind figured it out b4 i read it but thanks for posting man)

Here is my last request:

In island defense when u use the harvest gold abiltiye gold coins drop off the top of the gold mine how do they do that?

Are the gold coins actual items, or is it the affect of 3 little gold coins above a unit, like in normal melee maps when you return gold to your capital building? I have never played Island defence, so i do not really get what you mean by "gold coins drop off". If they are actual items, i would suggest creating a region around the mine, and have a trigger that states when they start casting harvest, create gold coins in random spots in that region. Im sorry i don't fully understand what you mean, but if you can explain more clearly, i would be more than happy to help

that is a special effect that you can put overhead on units , however, if you are using the human or orc gathering, it should do that effect automatically when they return to the castle. Here is the special effect tho

UI\Feedback\GoldCredit\GoldCredit.mdl

Ok, i see what you mean now. Unfortunately i have never done anything like this before. My suggestion is this. Open the object editor and find the repair ability and play around with the art, you know the gold popping out animation is "UI\Feedback\GoldCredit\GoldCredit.mdl" so just go experiment with all those art and attachment strings. I myself have not done this sort of thing many times.

Attachments and Special Effects

Take a look at that site for the different places you can attach the models to, as blizzard doesnt give a list of attachment points. There may be other ways, but its 1 in the morning and i cannot think :p but i quickly looked in the gui trigger editor and found no trigger events about being repaired. If you can find some event that will initiate a trigger for every second a buildings being repaired, then i can help you no problem, but i couldnt find that

thanks for all ur help man decided to use a trigger to do it and it works!
  • Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
  • (Ability being cat) Equal to Gather Gems
  • Special Effect - Create a special effect at (Position of Slayers Gem Stash) using UI\Feedback\GoldCredit\GoldCredit.mdl
