Odd model movement

Not sure, but you can attempt setting Maximum Pitch angle and Maximum Roll angle to 0 for those airships in the world editor. If that fixes the glitch, then walking over terrain was the cause.

That corrected the issue.

IIRC, you need to add more elevation sample points. Check out the various art fields on the default flying units and note any differences between them and your unit.

All the default flying units have two sample points and 100 sample radius. Changing that to 4/200 had no effect.

On a separate note is there a way to force flying units to move with slower ground units, or not cut across water to reach the targeted point?

WC3 flying units are notoriously unstable when moving. If there is a field which can limit their rotation velocity then that could help but I do not think there is one.

Only way is to not make them flying units.
