I noticed this field in the object editor for the first time...in a year of using the thing. And I must say I'm genuinely curious.

1) Does anyone know how this works?

I put a one there because I have a second question (the first is more important) that is semi-related and may be answered from the first answers.

2) In my map, there are a couple teams of 2 heroes (each owned by a separate player), moving through a labyrinth, whose paths cross numerous times. Thus, I intend to have key rez-points through out the labryinth people can fight for and control/take over back and forth. Can I use this feature in the Object Editor to assist me in this? Or should I stick to a pure triggered/JASS solution (I do have basic JASS knowledge, but if the OE can help, I'd like that too).

Thanks!

1) The "Techtree - Hero Revival Locations" field can be used to limit the places where the hero can revive to specific buildings. If this is empty (which it is by default for all units), the hero can revive at any building which has the "Techtree - Revives Dead Heroes" field turned on.

2) you will have to use triggers, i would use a region variable for each team which is set to the most forward controlled point in your labyrinth
