I keep trying to add multiple cliffs, and many other tilsets sense im making a big map similar to azeroth wars, and for some reason that part of the editor doesn't want to work. after I change the base tilesets and click ok it saves but then does nothing, ive tried restarting the editor but doesn't work.

dude. You DONT ADD NEW CLIFFS. You just add new tiles. And, read the manual, you have to click OK, it saves, and you CLOSE the map. Then open again.

Instead of basically yelling at me, you could ahve said you cant add cliff tiles, What manual?

Also I was already told how to fix this.

Basially, WC3 asigns so much RAM to storing terane. Some terane tiles are bigger than others. Thus you can have only a few large terane tiles with lots of variation or a lot with little. Clifs seem to use a separate method of storage since they also contain a model and model texture for the changes in elevation.

Its possible to have an arbitrary number of cliff tiles in a map... it is not possible to have an arbitrary number of cliff types in a map. (A cliff tile being the actual tileset tile tha borders up to the cliff, a cliff type being an actual type of cliff.)

As well, its possible to have 16 tiles used in a map. Any 16 tiles.

Just use the tileset editor included in JASS NewGen under the "Extensions" menu.

you can NOT add cliff types to a map -.- you can only add cliff tiles, which are the type of tile that surrounds a cliff. You are limited to the two cliffs that are part of the default tileset you're using.

with a third party tool im using 5-6 cliff types
