This bundle is marked as approved. It works and satisfies the submission rules.
Description:

This is a unique map based on the Emerald Gardens Map.

I added many new things like:

* World Bosses
* New items
* Changed Techtree (new units for each race, upgrades, heroes, etc.)
* Modified the Terrain
* Item Recipes
* New Heroes for each race
* New abilities
* Cooldowns are now shown on each spell
* The race of Naga is available.

* There is also a supply store in the center which allows you maintain easy control of your resources.

The map is considered altered melee but with the difference that you can battle world bosses to obtain powerful artifacts. You can reach them by going through the portals in the central basin.
Check out the new heroes in the tavern and the supply store in the center of the map!

Have fun playing it!

    Do like this:
    This is how you should do

    • Melee Initialization
      • Events

      • Conditions
      • Actions
        • Player Group - Pick every player in (All players) and do (Actions)

    Well, that above was the first space wasting trigger I found ;o
    Hrm, you shouldn't use "Wait" actions. I don't know why really you shouldn't use them, I just know everyone tells you to not do it X)

    Leaks

    This trigger leaks. As do all in the "Portal" category.
    • Sacred Relic Teleport
      • Events
        • Unit - A unit enters Region 006 <gen>
      • Conditions
      • Actions
        • Unit - Move (Triggering unit) instantly to (Center of Region 007 <gen>)

    To fix it, do like this:
    How to fix leaks

    • Sacred Relic Teleport
      • Events
        • Unit - A unit enters Region 006 <gen>
      • Conditions
      • Actions
        • Set Temp_Point = (Center of Region 007 <gen>)
        • Unit - Move (Triggering unit) instantly to Temp_Point
        • Custom script: call RemoveLocation (udg_Temp_Point)

    Please fix this when you've looked through it!

    EDIT:
    However, even if the map is perfect in anyway, You must add credits for your imported models & icons, otherwise it will get rejected for that anyway.
    Site rule!

    EDIT:
    (Yet again, I know...)
    I can do kinda complex custom spells with triggers. If you need any help.
    Though, I will not help you untill you've stated the credits correctly :p

    Dude when you use a pick every player loop action you only have to list the action once. Not for every Player! Thats why you use the loop action!
    Like this:

    • Player Group - Pick every player in (All players) and do (Actions)
      • Loop - Actions
        • Player - Limit training of Knight of Righteousness to 1 for (Picked player)
        • Player - Limit training of Ogre of Darkness to 1 for (Picked player)

    I can't believe you did that?

    Did you know that you can limit the heroes by adding the custom heroes to the gamplay constants.

    If you need help making triggers or using the world editor you should post a thread in the World Editor Help Zone. Thats what its there for.

    @ironman47
    Told him about the trigger alrdy x)
    But the smartest thing is prolly to limit the heroes in the gameplay constants indeed
    And then to just limit heroes all together to 1 if thats all your supposed to have :)

    Limiting the heroes in gameplay constants is only halfway doing this. You can limit the number of heroes there but you can not limit the number of heroes of every kind (for example - 1 Paladin or 2 Tauren Chieftains... (If you limit them only in the gameplay constants the problem is that you can still make 2-3-4 or more of one kind [depends on the limt]. Already tried this).
    This is why I used those triggers. Anyway, the only way I found for doing this is that ... pretty long one. And yes, I barely believed I did all this :D As I said - this is the first time I open the world editor and my first map ever.

    P.S. I still wait you in skype, Mumbis ! :D

    This map needs exceptional activity, the bosses seem too distant from the melee gameplay which makes that part a bit odd. I'd like to know how to change that. I have some ideas, but I do not know how.
    Talking about triggers.

    About My Reputations:

    [IMG] My complements for the Maker/s of the map's game.

    [IMG] Were I explain your map needs to get fix or make an improvement of your work.

    Overview
    Gameplay

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG] The Game was fine and all, but its kinda weird at the same time, the expansion sites are too easy to clear out while the outskirt ones are too risky especially the easy camps, try reducing the creep difficulties in my observation, but I did observe some Bosses in the game, it would be nice if they are alone and had skills that can challenge the players to beat them up instead of spamming numerous types of monsters.

    Playability

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG] The game can be played a lot of times but to my concern, its better if you could re-balance all of your work, including the heroes. the naga race was a great idea, and it will be better if you can make it as a custom race instead of making them a mercenary purchase, but still good work.

    Terrain

    [IMG] Your Terrain was too messy, dark sphere like state with tons of colorful landmasses? I mean its horrible! I suggest you to stick on something good to see, I synergy perhaps, like what do you do when you mix village terrain and lordaeron winter? you get epic! just like that, and I hope you understand me.

    Managing

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG] Your management is in dire need of fixing, I do not declare your map to get rejected for such a faulty output but rather help you with it, like what I stated above, creep difficulty must be fair and easy because these are the elements that can save your butt by earning and experiences for your army, second the balance, I see you change tons of it, might as well redo it, in other words, back to scratch, and the last thing terrain, redo it in a better way.

    Bug/s

    Since you did not apply any trigger that would collapse the foundations of your work, I see none and that's something good.

    I'll be sure to test it out for you and tell you what I think of it, but still I'll make sure to come back in the thread and rate about it.

    Naga Race

    I do not know how to make the Naga - a selectable race. Please tell me I will be veeeeery happy to see how :D Plus - I would really like to know what do you mean by "rebalancing heroes" ?!? :O Gimme some examples. As to the terrain, I agree about the dark tiles from the Black Citadel tileset, cuz .. let's say I was too angry to change it after I did all the terrain and then noticed that the fucking tiles can't be replaced by ... for example from the Sunken Ruins or something more ... exotic, as it should be. Anyway, the map is too colorful and I wouldn't change much from the terrain. As to the border monsters - they are supposed to be stronger :D this is why they give such treasures. :)

    Hmm, this map is awfully big in filesize... Did you happen to import any custom music in it? Generic resources like icons, models, and skins couldn't possibly make your map 7.28 MB could it? You don't look like you have that many custom resources imported onto your map anyway, just looking at the Credits list you have here.

    EDIT:
    Hmm, I played this map and I want to leave a little review on it...

    Good things about your map:
    • Neutral buildings (Tavern, Goblin Merchant, etc.) in fairly balanced locations (on the "melee" part of the map).
    • This map gives you the option to go out and defeat some tough bosses while playing a regular melee game, as some ORPGs (like Legends) do, instead of the same old, generic melee game.
    • I like how you decided to place two gold mines in gold mine locations instead of one. :xxd:
    • This is a fairly large map, which is good for a hybrid type of map like this. You need a lot of room.
    • Those bosses are seriously strong dude! But that's sort of a good thing though. It gives you something to do, something to kill when your Hero gets up to a really high level.

    Bad things about your map:
    • The main bad thing I could think about for this map is if you go out and take all of your forces to go defeat a boss (like Blood Terror for instance), your opponent might come to attack you and, well, you'd have a big problem then. I guess what I'm trying to say is in this map you have three objectives, "Destroy Your Opponent(s)", "Defend Your Base From Your Opponent(s)", and "Kill the Bosses" and you can't defend and attack creeps at the same time.
    • The filesize is kinda big, 7.28 megabytes.
    • This is small, and there's probably nothing you could really do, but the Ground Texture of all of buildings are red (to match the Outland tileset) and it looks kinda weird on snowy terrain. My suggestion would be to remove the Ground Textures from all of the buildings.

    Overall:

    Overall, I'd say this is a pretty solid map. I always liked those hybrid-type maps where you had the option to play as a Hero only or play normally. There really is hardly anything that is necessarily wrong with the map from my point of view. I'd say 4/5 and ah, a +rep while I'm at it. :)

    I like the map, man! Keep up the good work! I hope you update it and maybe add more custom stuff in the future. Maybe, add all custom races (Blood Elves, Drenaei, Kobolds, Trolls etc.) to completely replace the standard ones. Just some suggestions.

    I really do not know why the size is that much, I took Emerald Gardens as a base map. Anyway, I am still thinking of the problem with dividing the map on two modes. I will find some way to tie in both modes as main and only way of playing the map (I mean - including the melee style and boss killing style). Anyway as I said - I keep on editing it almost every day.
    Plus: The long trigger remains in the state it is; otherwise it won't work, and the memory increased (wasted) is about 150-200 Kb which is nothing.
    The newest upload (09.04) includes terrain changes and some environment and creep replacement. The custom race is now available but with a little problem - the AI script does not work properly. That means you can not play successfully the map with computers opponents. (I will work on that one too :p)

    Thank you for the nice words! It fills me with more desire to work on it! :grin::wink:

    The map is successfully repaired and can be fully played, but with a little exception - if you choose to play with the Naga, you will be revealed in two minutes, cuz your town center won't be considered "Town hall" by unknown reasons for me...

    The AI script is fully working now, some more balance with cooldowns, damage and monster hit points has been made. Also some items fixed :D
    The file size is also reduced ;)

    Anyway, I would like to know about how to fix that damn problem;
    Both Town centers have "Town Hall" classification AND I used as base unit - a human Town Hall.

    Can anyone tell me where am I wrong ? :vw_wtf:

    P.S. I have some ideas like - removing the melee victory/defeat conditions and add new condition, but let's say that I wanna fix that !@#$ first :D

    Well, I removed the V/D conditions and the problem with the 2 min revealing is no more, but the victory or defeat will not be announced (to exit the game). Anyway, it's a good way to observe the game after, even if you are defeated!
