New map Ninja scroll/screenies inside

hey everybody,

im currently working on this map called ninja scroll although it has nothing to do with the anime , just liked the title 8) ...umm but the title pending :wink: ....anyway

my map is like an aos , and is based in medevil japanese time, with a fantasy twist. 2 teams , koga ninja clan, and the undead horde .

heroes will be controlled with arrow keys, and attacks will be made with hot keys, and camera can be moved with hotkeys as well. this is a very watered down version of my map, but its short and to the point. both teams will have a leader, if the leader dies its game over for that team. :p ...all heroes will have an attack button, which they can do combos with, and

terrain is almost done, bases are still being made...terrain is made for stealth and tactical movement...u will see in screenies, there are alot of doodads but dont let that scare u, i have tested online with friends and it doesnt lag, unless ur computer is very old ,and ur connection is less than 56k =D ....anyway i really need help with triggers, so if anyone would like to help with that , that would be great..

Cool skins.

I can't imagine how hard it would be to control with arrow keys online. I mean, for some reason they have more delay than clicking. And having to button-mash for attacks might give the host a slight yet totally unfair advantage, right? Play Azeroth Grand Prix online and see what I mean. I've made similar triggers, and they only disappointed me.

Tacos is right....arrow keys are not the way to go if you plan on making it an online game. Azeroth Grand Prix, which has by far the best arrow key system, as Tacos said, completely failed due to net lag. Even over lan arrow key movements are cumbersome, slow and very unresponsive. Stick to the normal RTS method or at least use click movement.

click systems work perfectly actually, and it does make things easyer, i guess im just one of those people whos hand gets tired after clicking so much :oops: ....

i have played azeroth prix, it does lag alot, but i have played it with everyone having good connections , and it has been a relativly smooth game,

i dont know , its hard, because i want to try something different, but ill test so more and see which has more positive results...but thx for the suggestions..

ps..the skins and some of the models used are from black stan, because i just love his ninja models :lol:

well the map still needs alot of trigger work, but there actually wont be that many triggers :lol: ....but yeah there will be alot of stealth in it,

i think ill have units weak in the sense that u will be able to kill them in one hit depending on how sneaky u are :wink:

edit: anyone know any sites with good pictures of samurai/ninja weapons, armor, and so forth, i need some more japanese doodads so i will make them if metal sonic has already not made them :roll:

i like swords its cool its my destiny :D :D :D

originally this was going to be a medevil map with knights and kings, but i could never find the models =/ ...but because i love japanese medevil themes i decided to switch over to that because black stan had made such wonderful models :wink:

just wanted to ask some questions.

1) i downloaded this sun and moon model off this site, but how do i implemente it....how do i make it appear in the sky as time goes by

2)What is the most efficiant way to spawn units, by regions where the units just spawn, or where they are produced from a barracks...which way would cause less lag :?:
