Need help please

Hmmm i have learned some things with Photoshop. But i cant still understand how to make figures. I mean, i have a template, but how what programs are suggested to edit the Template? Paint for making figures :?:
For example i didnt found a way to make a Shadow Strike in Photoshop. Blizzard had to make a basic figure of it and then edit it in Photoshop.

Also, how to make DISBTN?

For the DISBTN just remove the outer border crap then darken the image by about 50%, seriously this stuff is in the tutorial
