Need Advice on what tools should i use?

Hi all!!! I have just joined the wc3sear.ch community (i would have joined earlyer but i had connection problems) i have been useing this site for some while (1 year) and downloaded maps to play on and have fun (Good job on "Return of The Dragons" and Good Luck on "Day of The Fish").

Im a Map Editor... And i decided to goto another level of map editing so here is where you will help me.

I know to make terrain (speciality) , i know trigger functions (thx 2 Wc3sear.ch now i know to save o hero in campaing) , Variables still working on them ) (i just started useing them 3 months ago) ... so im i need of advice. In the Tools download section you have a lot of good tools so would any good map editor recomend me what tools should i download to make my life easyer ??? (i require JASS, Skin Editing, Texture Editing, And any other programs that would help like colors and save/load codes)

There's nothing in the tool section that would really enhance editor features. There's a few small things, like the Jass editor and the colorcode manager, but those aren't essential if you arent planning on using Jass or silly colors in your text. Most of that stuff is for skinning and modeling and the such. I suggest you download war3viewer. Ever mapper should have a copy of that just in case they want easy access to file paths when they are importing skins into their map.

And i saw the color thingy and JASS ,but there are many different versions and i just whant to hear a friendly advice (witch version should i download an use... preferably most efective one).

well for tools theres the World Editor Unlimited (WEU) that adds a few things to the normal editor, but nothing much.

Havent used it that much myself but I know it does some things to the object editor so that you can make things speed faster and make things attack faster and some other stuff. It probaply does other stuff too just dont remember what as I havent used it myself

The maps I make dont require that that much!

hehe you just do that, it probaply does more than change a few things in the Object Editor im sure

I'd reccomend against that. WEU has tendancies to cause problems, conflictances, and other errors. Its a buggy third party map editor. I strongly suggest you stick with Blizzard-spec stuff.

i used the War 3 Viewer and it crashed the very first time i used it =))..... i opend a few random models and then i opend the human farm and it crashe (the farm looked pretty wierd too )
