Necropolis v1.6c

Story
The lost city of Khosar stands as a eternal monument in the burning sands.
A city of the dead, A necropolis.
In its dust drowned halls the ancients wake from the hereafter, drawn to live out lifes many vendetta's for an eternity.
In this land where peace is short lived and strife omnipresent, not even the dead are spared.


Overview

You and your fellow heroes of old must continue the wars fought in life and exact vengeance on your enemies.
Death is not a release, merely a second chance to relive those battles fought in the ancient past.[/COLOR]


Necropolis is a Zone Control Map.

The Aim of the game is to destroy all your opponents Crypts.
Crypts are captured by killing them.
Players are divided into 2 teams with up to 5 players each.

Structures

Crypts are the main objective, they are fragile buildings scattered around the map.

Bastions are large fortress structures that train units and provide regeneration to its owners. Has True Sight,

Crypt Defenders are weak towers that watch over important locations. Has Ture Sight.

All structures can be taken over by destroying them.

Bone Prophet
Support Caster, excels at massing up and supporting large armies.
Learns Insight Seal, Premonition, Necromancy, Bone Obelisk

Risen Conqueror
Melee Skirmisher, excels at prolonged melee combat with enemy armies.
Learns Iron Fist, Blaze of Glory, Battle Command, Everlasting Defeat

Crypstalker
Ranged Assassin, excels at killing and debuffing high threat enemies and heroes.
Learns Vampiric Touch, Dead Silence, Siphon Soul, Gravechill Arrow

Corpse Giant
Support Tank, excels at creating corpses for fodder and soaking damage.
Learns Meat Cleaver, Bloodspill, Exhume, Goreblast

Ember Prince
Siege Caster, excels at inflicting huge amounts of AOE damage at long range.
Learns Firestorm, Cremation, Soul Burn, Everblaze

Foreunner
Support Melee, excels at transporting units across the battlefield and staging hit and run attacks.
Learns Precursive, Traverse Rift, Time Warp, Far Strike

Dust Wraith
Skirmishing Caster, excels at slowing advancing armies and ranged attacks.
Learns Sweeping Gale, Ghost Wind, Zephyr, Sand and Foam

Dune Reaper
Melee Assassin, excels at surviving at the heart of battle and finishing dying enemies.
Learns Wrecking Blow, Massacre, Blood Pact, Warmonger

Soul Conductor
Ranged caster, excels at countering physical damage and escaping focus fire.
Learns Wraith Blast, Beacon, Soul Tide, Requeim

Underking
Melee Caster, adept at ploughing into enemy defences and sokaing focus fire.
Learns Ground Siege, Mangle, Locust Swarm, Burrow Blast

Ghast Tamer
Melee Caster, adept at handling vast armies of air units which he can feed his lesser minions to.
Learns Devour, Winged Death, Ravenous Flock, Feeding Frenzy

- Redid Culling Edge, now whirls repeatedly over 4 seconds, effect remains unchanged.
- Redid Massacre, it now gives lifesteal for the duration and resets cooldowns upon reaching a damage cap.

Well thats a really really old version, so that might be a problem.

Most maps around here are intended to be 1.24 and above compatible.
If your version is an issue youll probabbly have problems with many maps not just this one.

Ok finished with it, 5/5 one of the best maps that i've played.

The terrain is quite good. The gameplay is above average because of its originality.

The terrain is aesthetically nice but it really is pretty bad from a gameplay perspective, its too crammed and tight for a map based on armies and not single heroes.

The gameplay is somewhat original since there arnt that many zone captures for wc3 anyway. But Im pretty it can be improved from its current state.

True true, making good terrain that is still accessible is very difficult.

This must be one of the best maps I've ever played. Everything in this map fits well together and it is fun to play and the terrain is amazing, also it reminds me of DOW2.

Boneragers don't disappear. Ever.

Tbh, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Boneragers are permanent mercenaries, theyre not supposed to dissapear or anything like that.

Autolevelbalance bugs. Everyone was level 3, then suddenly red (me) and Green were level 11.

There is no auto balance level, there are no functions in the map that give exp or levels.



If you want to report bugs, you need to give details so I actually know what is going on.

My friend had something called boneragers that would explode, then revive as to explode again. My friend said he did a research that "turns them into skeletal warriors upon death", or something. Which means boomboomboom

Well, for some reason green and I turned to level 11 on the "capture all the things" mode.
Edit: For the few details that could ever factor into this, I had the forerunner and green had the hero thats model is Grom (or similar to)
We weren't near each other. I think I may've killed a hero that did it.

I kind of noticed when I ran away from a bunch of people. I was only half-way into level 3 when I checked before, so I couldn't tell you if it happened when I leveled up.

Very well, Ill have a look into that.

Well, for some reason green and I turned to level 11 on the "capture all the things" mode.

Ive looked through the map thoroughly I cant seem to figure out why that would happen. It is possible that some of the debug triggers are turning and doing funny shit.

Anyway thanks for the report, Ill get a fix version done ASAP.

Well thanks for the extra info. I havent touched this map in ages so ive kinda lost track of the actual emchanics of the game.

However I have tried replicating the endless self destruction bug and I cannot seem to find the source of it.
There are no Hero Skills/Researches that can ressurect units. The only thing that can is an high tier offense item.
But doesnt seem to bug under any circumstance.

Happened again. Was early into level 3 when suddenly was level 11 (saw it happen).
Can't tell much more then that, I was running back from someone. I was red still. Forerunner again, too.

You should really update this map, right now. The map is awnsome and fun to play. ALOT.
you should add more mercenaries, more heroes, and (or proabably) map size?

The balance and creativity on this control map is deep. I very much like the terrain design and theme, with good choices all round with units, scaling, effects, and SFX. I'd like to see the most popular heroes appear in a Kino all-stars map ;]
