Naga Crystal Warlock

The Naga Crystal Warlock model that I made for my altered melee map Forgotten Kingdoms of Azeroth.
It contains the geoset of the Crystals model made by Uncle Fester, but for some reason I could not reach out to him through the hive. Let me know if you think they would mind me using it.

Based on Blizzard preexisting work.

Feel free to use but don't forget to give credits and ask for permission to edit.

Recommended WE values:
  • Walk/Run Speed: 250
  • Death Time: 3.867 seconds
  • Projectile Impact Z: 80
  • Projectile Launch X: 50
  • Projectile Launch Y: 70
  • Projectile Launch Z: 70
  • Scaling Value: 1.1
  • Animation Cast Point: 0.400
  • Animation Damage Point: 0.300

Edit 2 (2025-12-03):
1) Removed the back pelvis armor which looked too off
2) Added TC to the shoulder pads
3) Added melee attack animations (recommended Animation Damage Point is 0.550
4) Added a version with no armor at all
5) Reworked some vertices and some UV mappings

1) Remade the head to have more details
2) Added a new texture for those who prefer less flashy scales
3) Added a new model variation without the crystals
4) Added scales on the back and the head to give it a more Naga-ish look

This is really quite clever & well-done; I love the idea of using the Shade/Voidwalker anims and general shape to give us a new Naga (maintaining the snakey bottom-half) (that being said, the face is maybe a bit low-poly/jerky in the Portrait).

My only major complaint is that it's pretty niche. I agree with MasterHaosis that a "de-crystal-fied" version that's a little more aligned with the standard Naga look would be a great addition to this, if you're interested.

I like this one but you should make another version as snake version out of it its perfect without those crystals and purple thing, make it normal stomach and this is it.

Thanks for the feedback. I hear what you mean and I will be releasing a more conventional version pretty soon.

Definitely very unique and interesting and execution is quite nice too.

Here is the changelog:

1) I remade the head to have more details
2) I added a new texture for those who prefer less flashy/pinky scales
3) I added a new model variation without the crystals
4) I added scales on the back and the head to give it a more Naga-ish look

@NightWolf/Pierziz ah this is what I meant more precisely, however it has holes on shoulders, that needs to be fixed (optionally holes in ribs). It can be adapted to amazing snake man. Oh by the way, optionally he could be make attack 2 anim with his left hand as well (for melee attacks) since he only attacks with hi right arm now, which I suppose its for ranged attacks. But thats bonus, optionally. Anyway you did awesome job.

Well as a bonus version, the simple the better although there is no harm to left armor. As you saw I remade it to simpler version as melee unit, simple snake man. But I really found missing shoulders and attack 2 anim with another hand in case for melee use. Thats why I told you created awesome model that can be adapted and repurposed. Also he can use additional skins for multi colored snake man, so yeah, potent model
 
This is what I did! I bypassed those holes in shoulders by adding those soulderpads. I can send you this version after Halloween is over so you can investigate it or adapt it whatever you fit. Now it is real snake man, simple but useful :cgrin:

Looks great, much more widely-usable! While I like MasterHaosis' edit, I do think keeping the crystal-ribcage bit is pretty cool; unique at least!

I updated the model to meet @MasterHaosis request !

Here are the upgrades:
1) I removed the back pelvis armor which looked too off
