Custom team hero defense rpg map with 8 player
  • Focus is on teamplay but you can play on your own (difficulty auto adjust)
  • a lot RPG systems
  • custom life settings (after x dead you loose - you can be revived)
  • dark setting
  • Defend 1-2(scales if you solo) lanes with tactical chokepoints
  • 5 difficulty for increased rank-points gain
  • Auto adjust difficulty for leavers
  • Shared gold and ranking points
  • Each game will be different
  • Customize your hero (levelcap 50)
  • Save/Load
  • Custom boss
  • Custom tower
  • Custom stats
  • Custom enemies
  • Custom revive system

Gameplay
  • Defend your "king"
  • Waves spawn (Elites + random stats and ability)
  • Big waves spawn randomly
  • You have time between some waves to do other stuff like boss farm, upgrades etc.
  • This is a team defense map, income is 100% shared
  • You can upgrade your items, hero, king and tower

Save System
  • Save your rank and earned points
  • With ranks you can obtain skins and other things but no overpowerd items
  • You can't save your hero

  • Most stats are displayed on the screen for easy information
  • Every item is colorized and no useless information
  • Multiboard
  • Camera slide system



◊ Custom armor and weapon system + charm
  • Each class only have 1 weapon that can be upgraded to different weapon (no weapon loot)
  • Each class only have 1 armor that can be upgraded to different armor (no armor loot)
  • Each class can only have 1 offhand that can be upgraded
  • Special items are needed for different upgrades, each upgrade stats increase
  • You can wear 2x item "charm" that can have all stats on it for customisation

  • Everytime a enemie spawn they have a chance for a random skill, a random buff, random stats and get a random rank
  • Every enemie have 1 main "class" spell

  • Pick your hero
  • Choose your "mindset"

ive been keeping tabs on the thread since the first post i made, i'll be here to try it as soon as there's something to download! hero defenses are my favorite map type, and creative and open-ended ones like this are few and far between

Hello, after a break i change the map a bit

-remove castle capture system
-add control point capture (at faction isle)
-remove non hd models and some anime stuff (
everything that does not fit in reforged)
-add 8 factions (Lightbringer,Graveborn,Wildling,Untamed,Forsaken,Fiend,Sky Beings,Betrayer)

-every faction has 1 ally, the rest is hostile
-you can choose 1 faction to join at level 30 --> add additionally loose condition but you get different stuff (Items,Pets,Units) from the faction
-the faction war is on an "isle",separately from your home location
(i know this wont be easy to defend 2 spots but you can build towers and units)
-add new stat magic reduction
-add new stat physical reduction


next to do: finish faction war system, add 2 new heros and add hostile critters



I appreciate it if someone contact me.
I like to share my ideas and ask for feedback since i do not have a person who shares my passion.

This Map is for reforged so dont mind the different non hd textures.

Changes/added:

You are now evil and spawn in hell.
Defend different locations (Forsaken Isle,Hell and Faction Isle)
Factions changed: You can help only evil factions.
To leave hell you have to pay souls.
For each kill you get souls based on unit level.
In hell are lvl 1 minions to kill.


Main defending idea / gameplay:
- You are on an isle
- Ships spawn at a random location if they reach the shore enemies spawn
- Chance a command unit spawn (they channel a ability if they success enemies get permanent stronger and spawn more units)
- Chance a castle spawn, endless spawn of units but they give nothing
- Defend the Demon Lord on the Isle


(Spoiler)
After you reach a certain level:
-level 10 you can choose a Hellitem (increase itemlvl each 10 herolvl) that will help you alot.
-level 16 faction isle war starts
-level 25 portal open for boss and raids
-level 30 you can evolve your hero
-level 31 new portal/areas open for you
-level 40 hell gets invaded
-level 46 new portal/areas
-level 50 you can attack the final boss
-level 55 faction isle gets invaded
-level 64 new portal/areas
-level 6x ?
-level 70 Reborn Quest (Reborn: hero stats increased by 50%, can level now to 80)
-level 80 Exil Quest (Exil: hero stats increased by 100% and get exil weapon/armor)

Hello,

Changes:

- add 24 Player support for pure chaos defense
- add automatic player scaling + difficulty
- the 8 classes will now fit their class (no selfhealing warrior or damage cleric)
- semi element system​

Future plans:

- Raid dungeon for 24 player + saveable items
- Change suffix system -> now you can upgrade items to 5 different types (e.g. Etheral +10% magic damage...)
- Change item system to only weapon,offhand,armor - 1 piece each +2 potion/scroll slots
- Votekick system + ready system
and much more...(so many ideas lol)​

Hello,

weapons and armor are upgradeable in this map:

-Ascending: increase Weapon damage or Armor value (+1-6)
-Enchanting: add magical attribute to the weapon/armor (Havoc +7% damage....)


i removed the suffix system so you can choose and craft your attribute, no rng

there are "hidden" weapon ability:

-Sword: chance to deal 125% damage
-Axe: chance to knockback
-Hammer: chance to stun for 0.5s
and so on..

meele attacks get a little knockback (only hero)


-- i wont upgrade the terrain until the reforged editor is out/fixed because of scaling problems --

Hello,
so i say 24 players support but now i think it would be a pure mess,sorry.

12 player are good to go because create a boss area for 24 players would be insane in terms of space and balance
there are 8 classes (for now), every class can be there 3 times.

I am sorry, because I will not (cant) finish this Map, Reforged broke to many things..

But I am making right now a similar Map with a friend, not to rpg heavy. It will be a easy to understand team-defense Map with a lot features. I can post more soon.

Absolutely amazing map. Keep it up, you are onto something unique here that can itch a lot of scratches. I've read it over twice so far and wholly recommend more roguelike elements to improve replayability. Interested to see where this map goes!

I add 2 new "level" areas and some items + second wave boss.
Now I will finish the Heros and then I could release a early alpha of this Map. (only singleplayer)
For Multiplayer I need to test things first myself.

Your terrain is unreal.
And your map looks so innovative.

This is exactly the kind of thing I am trying to achieve with my TD, but definitely not on the terrain or UI side.

Is there any test version available ?

Care for a review exchange when this is done ? Because I will definitely have to try your map when available...

I don't remember ever seeing such beautiful design ever (I haven't tried every RPG map though).
This is breathtaking !

Please keep up the good work, we need to bring fresh new quality to the map making community !

Don't feel obligated ! But I would sincerely love to see that.

If you want I can also send you an unprotected version of my map. It is not advanced in the same fields as your project, but trust me it has features you have never seen in Warcraft 3 ever before :) Maybe you'll find interesting things in there, who knows.
Note though that I don't use a single GUI trigger, but maybe it is the same for you.

Hi, @FiX_

May I ask how you achieve the fog effect in some of the cliffs (some page 1 screenshots). I wish to create a floating-city-type terrain and the screenshots you posted look really good. Is it a model/effect that can be found somewhere?
