Belive me , try to learn alone with Otherwinkie's Tools , like Vertex Modifier. It is very simple.

theres nothing easy if you don't really put some effort and time to something

http://oinkerwinkles.com has tools and shows you how to use them, I suggest you start editing models before you make it from scratch, it'll just pick up afterwards, and won't be too different
