minimap question

well i was wondering if you could make clifts and suck look more like they were drawn in pencil like in old maps sometihng like this example

if this is possible plz tell me

Well you could take a screen of the minimap, make it old-like in photoshop or whatever and then import it somehow(not sure what the path is, but I know it's doable, I saw a few maps that had a dragon or something on the minimap).

Make your map. Take a screenshot of your map. Open it up in photoshop and make another layer. Draw in however you want the islands. Remove the bottom layer. Paste in whatever map backing you want. Save. Export to whatever file type is needed.

Import to map as minimap. Then win.

i dont have photoshop and would the islands line up with the one ingame?

Yes, it would. Use Paint Shop Pro or GIMP if you don't have photoshop.

If you have all the islands laid out already, then simply take a screen shot as said, then put it into some photo editing program, the easiest way then would be to use a filter. If you want to add in 'global warming' changes, add in more islands

also if you dont explore it yet could it just be the yellowish paper if it anit explored yet and then when you explore it you see the clifts?

YES IM YELLING AT YOU.

I'm not sure about that yellowish paper. I would just leave black mask on. It's the pitch black covering of unexplored areas.

What format does it have to be in? and how do you import "as minimap"?

Just put the red line and X in the backround map. And clear the black mask over that area for the person with the map.

Seriously.

You guys need brains.

If you put a blank map backround of the map over the map itself, how is anyone going to know what they've explored? They wouldn't. TLDR: Map Mask is your friend.
