yes as the title says, is anyone aware of a method of implementing midi or wav files , wc3 editor does not pic them up or recognizes them. either way i cant get them to work :x
He should pic wav files, although it's much waste of space, because wav is uncomprimed. Midi won't work because it's only a "savegame for a synthesizer", that means you need a software synthesizer to play them and warcraft has none. You should always convert your soundfiles to MP3 anyways if you use them in your maps.
but i have another question  ...what sound converters do u guys use and could anyone suggest the name of a good converter that can handle most type of files
I always use iTunes to convert sounds/music to MP3, but if you only want to convert files, it's not very comfortable I think. But at least for WAV it works and is freeware, so here's a Link.
For MIDI that's not that easy. As I already tried to explain, these are no real sound files since the sound is built by an external software synthesizer and it may sound different on different computers, because they may use different software synthesizers.
Maybe QuicktimePro can do that, but no garanty... I'm sorry, but I don't know a good freeware to do it.
hey Waldbär i just wanted to say thank you very much. the itunes worked out great for the wav convertions, and as for the midis , i have the wav version of it, so it was no problem.
this program is great i could reduce the mp3 size dramatically  ty again.
