I would appreciate it greatly if someone were to create a multi-instancable mating system that can be used by different types of animals. (Sheep can mate Sheep, Pig can mate Pig, etc.) BIG CREDIT and +REP for anyone who takes on this challenge. I also would like if someone created a farming system. (You plant Corn, Wheat, etc. and it grows until it becomes harvestable). Please do not get mad that I am using a slight bit of your ideas knuxrurlz and Dead_Hunter. I will make sure that you are both Credited and are both the first to test. :infl_thumbs_up: (If I figure out how). Thx to any who read this and greater thx to those who take on the challenge.

For the mating system, did you try Mount Hippogriff? Just make it so both the required units are the same, and for "targets allowed" "self" is not listed. Also, when the spell is casted, create two sheep to replace the two that merged. Now you just mated. Seems overblown, doesn't it?

But in this case it would be mount sheep. Rofl.

The mating system is explained enough I believe.

Farming system shouldn't be hard. Just use the Undead Builder's building style how he starts the creation of something and can walk away and do w/e
I believe you'd have to make the unit's repair as Undead, make the builder/farmer classified as undead(in Advanced/Gameplay Constants or Gameplay Interface, you can change what it says they're classified as in-game) and all of the buildings he creates must be undead classified as well. Just look at the Acolyte and the Ziggurate alot and hopefully you'll understand how to do this.
Thats the best I can explain it :p

Rofl indeed Chriz. For farming, not sure exactly what you want. Do you want it to become bigger, or just change itself every once in awhile...like...

Plant it as a seed, then X seconds it becomes a sprout, X seconds a plant, X seconds later a ripe plant, or just one plant that slowly increases size?

If you want a plant that changes, simply add an expiration timer to each Seed when it's planted. When the timer runs out, the plant will "Die" and be replaced by another, thus making it "grow."

  • TEZT
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Dies
    • Conditions
      • (Unit-type of (Dying unit)) Equal to Seed
    • Actions
      • Unit - Create 1 Sprout for (Owner of (Dying unit)) at (Position of (Dying unit)) facing Default building facing degrees
      • Unit - Add a 30.00 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)
You planted a seed, 30 seconds later it's a sprout! Miracles of life!

EDIT: To Craka, you don't need to make the building classified as Undead, it's just the acolyte. He can summon human buildings if you put them in his build list.

Thx Craka_J, that may help. iron_warrior, that is a good idea, but I don't think that I would want to have to do that kind of trouble if it turns out non multi instinstable or w/e. Good idea tho. Unscrewed_Magic, That is a good system, but I don't want the player to have to water the plant continuosly. Thank you everyone for your help.
