Well, the fact that he maphacked in the first place should be a warning to how bad he must be...

Also, there are loads of 12 year old kids who log onto WC3 and maphack, custom kick, stat hack, vision hack, and impersonate Blizzard admins to take an advantage in Ladder.

I find that 3rd Party Program's are entirely worthless in WC3, because even if you can maphack, you still can be over powered. The only thing that gives you some type of advantage is custom kick/host hack. Other than that though I think people should stop holding maphacker's with such prestige.

I know an entire clan of ranked Ladder players who have a winning pct. of over 80% and they all maphack. It's actually widely known they maphack, but no one cares, because people know they don't need to maphack.

There is also decent players whom are accused of mhing, when they are not. Once, I was playing ES in DotA, when I shot a vertical fissure to block creeps, I killed a clinkz whom was invisible at the time. Receive a lot of flaming, though(the laugh was worth it).

Don't report people. That's just lame. Sure, they use map hacks, but tattling is never a good idea, it makes you just as bad as they are. They can learn their lesson when they're 35 and an unhappy virgin. Just my opinion.

Edit: You can't get banned for maphacking in a non-tournament game.

More edit: You can't get banned. You don't need a CD key anymore.

Yes, you do need a CD key. You don't need the physical CD anymore. CD key is registered on install, but the CDs are mass-produced with no individual differences.

And why does reporting a cheater make you as bad as them? It's stupid to say that someone who cheats and ruins the gameplay for others shouldn't be brought to justice. They don't get banned for being reported, they get banned for actually cheating.

For the first thing, they will most likely download a code generator if that's not how they got their CD key in the first place.

For the second, reporting is just a taboo of online gaming. Especially when you say "lol reported" and expect them to beg to you. It's just low, if someone cheats, it doesn't ruin the gameplay, you just swear at them and kick them from the game, or get the host to kick them.

And what if it's a Blizzard hosted ladder map? You take the permanant loss for someone using cheats.

I've never heard of reporting being a taboo in online gaming. When it's for stuff like cursing in chat, yeah that's stupid. But when you're altering the gameplay to the unfair advantage of one person, in a way the game was not meant to be used, that person deserves to be brought to justice. So what if they get a new CD key? Then ban their IP. Eventually they'll get tired of putting up with it. And I never said you had to shove it in their place with a "LOL REPORTD U GONNA GET BaNND F4G!!!111LOLOLOL".

Someone using hacks in a computer game is like someone using performance enhancing drugs in a real world sport. It doesn't make them the best or guarentee them a win, but it gives them an unfair advantage that kills the spirit of the game. Are you saying that baseball players should just say "meh, it's just steroids he's not really cheating"?
