Now that would've been an epic final battle. But don't forget about Azshara, the dragon aspects and other characters that could appear and fit the story in an interesting way.
Yeah, the trio vs Azshara or Deathwing would be awesome too. Though we don't know how powerful Azshara is in this universe, is she on par with Kil'Jaeden here too? Also she's not the main antagonist and she is fought in the Highborne part, so she might not even appear in the Sentinel. Maybe even the Naga as a whole may not appear at all. And Deathwing seems unlikely too. FallenStar basically confirmed that Alexstrasza and Nozdormu boss fights have been cut from the Highborne part, and that even Ysera was reduced, that's why she only has sleep and stun. So it doesn't seem that the Dragon Aspects will have a large role. Plus they already have a mega powerful Kil'Jaeden.

Azshara had never been on par with Kil'Jaeden. She only sought power for herself, would do anything to reach the World Tree and would never share the power with anybody else. Now, I don't think she would be any different in Sentinel campaign (if she would make an appearance at all) regarding her strength from the Highborne campaign.
Deathwind, on the other hand, well, I haven't thought about him, since he hadn't been added to a list of characters of both campaigns, but I'm sure he would be a great rival to the three Dragon Aspects. Though I don't know why would he show up in a campaign, since we haven't seen him in a Highborne campaign. I'm more hiped to see the characters that haven't been introduced to Highborne campaign but are currently on the list of campaign characters, such as Zaelthrun the Harbinger, the Exiled One and Jarod Shadowsong and maybe some other minor characters.

I don't think that the naga won't appear in Sentinel, since as last we could play, after we beat Illidan and Kath'ranis in Chapter 3, they retreat, so they could have gone to look for those, and since there were Makrura that we could chose to ally with them or not, they might be Azshara servants, which could be a good plot twist in case we decide to ally with them.

Oh, when you said Dragon Aspects playing their part, I thought you were thinking about Deathwing as the final boss. I would bet that Jarod will join you in the Seninel part as a playable hero like Velinde in the Highborne, but he joins you willingly. About Azshara, I don't know. She plays the same role as Kil'Jaeden in chapter 9, and it took two insanely powerful mages to defeat her. She does have lower hit points than Kil'Jaeden though. Plus in the original universe she's on par with Kil'Jaeden, but that doesn't have to mean anything here.

Are Makrura here slaves of the Naga too? I guess you either ally with them and when you face the Naga they have an uprising and cause a problem to the Naga. Or if you don't they remain Naga slaves and fight you together with the Naga. The Naga would never ally themselves with the Night Elves of any kind.

There's no point to add it anywhere since we took it down in the first place.
The old file doesn't represent our current view on what it should be. The new sentinel path is going through several changes while also being finished.
Also it isn't like the fact that the Sentinel part is not included has been mentioned several thousand times by now...
Sure, but I personally don't get it, if you already have these maps, why don't let people play them? Haven't played the sentinels maps, yet(I will in the near future :p), but I don't doubt that they are done on professional, masterpiece level and are a great playing experience. You can change them with the next update when and if it happens. But in the end it's your Campaign, and your "creator's rights" and it's all your choice, but I'm just saying.

The path is not finished and therefore existing Sentinel maps could be changed and/or story aspects may be retconned to better fit together.
It could confuse the player to play one version and then see it changed mid-development again.
Yes, but they basically said it'll be a few/couple of years till the sentinel path is finished, plus all the things with Reforged makes the time even longer. (Although Custom maps/Campaigns that heavily utilise custom stuff, like this one, won't look good in Reforged sadly, at least to me I mean.) What I meant to say is that I personally see no reason why it would be weird to play one version now, and then the next one in a couple of years. By then you would forget the first version anyway.

Didn't want to reply, but I had to, something was just making me.

It's really nice you plan to update your Campaigns for Reforged, honestly it's a plus for Reforged as a whole, and a reason more to buy it (against many not to buy it, sadly)

Iirc, Jeopardy of the Horde should be the easiest to update for Reforged. Iirc it basically uses only default models and skins, so it should look fine. There are even some benefits, like Drek'thar, Samuro, Cairne having their own models in Reforged.

Similar situation for Rowan the Wise, the only thing being Bevan and dwarf footmen/knight. The thing to solve the Bevan problem could be to make him female and use Janella model(and rename him). That could work really well, cause Tara is the only female in the group, and he is too girly anyway. The only problem with it would be the voice.....

Haven't played Ressurection of the Scourge.

However I see a lot of problems with Malfurion's Quest. While there are some benefits, like Tyrande, Cenarius, Magtheridon having their own models by default, I definitely see the problem with soooo many custom models for basically all factions. Complete Highborne tech tree with heroes, some legion units (shivarra with heroes), some naga units, some satyr/nightmare units, even some night elf characters like Faradrella(can I call her Lunara :D) or the Guardians. I pesonally don't think that custom models look good in Reforged, they basically look like Betty Boop(cartoon character from the silent era) in the middle of Frozen, and to me at least that doesn't look good. You can try passing High Elves as the Highborne and see how it works, but I don't know.

Again have no clue why I just posted this, but I just had to, something was just making me.

I take it you are unsure how the custom models are going to look in Reforged. Essentially, all custom models will be replaced with their HD equivalent. This will all take time, but it will happen.

Wow, that's a really impressive plan. Though it won't be easy cause Reforged models are obviously really high polly.
And who knows Blizzard may one day release a Highborne race DLC.(though this seems really unlikely to me, if they even release a race DLC, it will most likely be some playable race in WoW)

Hey Guys, I am new on this forum and downloaded the version 1.4b. I put it in Campaigns folder however, it is not showing in custom campaigns when I open Frozen Throne. I tried it on both Warcraft 3 versions 1.26 and 1.29 but this one is not visible. Can you please help me in this? Is there anyway to download the older versions of this campaign?

You have to put it in a "Warcraft III - Campaigns" folder that's located in your "My Documents" section.

Thank you for your reply. My installation folder path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III Frozen Throne eSK\Campaigns" and I have copied other campaign files such as ResurrectionoftheScourge.w3n, Rise of the Blood Elves v3.0.w3n, JeopardyoftheHorde_v3.w3n along malquestv1_4.w3n. I am using Windows 10 Pro bit.
I can see all the other campaigns in Frozen throne but cannot see Malfurions's quest in it at all. I found an old version (malquestv1_3.w3n) inside my PC and it is working perfectly fine. Not sure what is the problem with the latest version. Can you please help in this?

Ok, so where is your working campaign placed? You have to put all other campaigns inside that folder containing the working campaign. Since the release of 1.29 version of the game, the campaign folder was changed from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III Frozen Throne\Campaigns" to "My Computer\My Documents\Warcraft III\Campaigns", so it's that folder where you have to place your campaigns in order to make them work.

I think you need at least version 1.30, if not 1.31 for the newest version of this Campaign to work. Plus you need ti put the Campaign file into My Documents like @Lazarator explained.

Yes but I am using version 1.26 so the campaign folder is correct right? Because all the other campaigns are visible.

Hello again. I'm thinking of replaying this again and some other campaigns. Can you make this campaign work on 1.27b? Or are you guys gonna wait and see what happens about the custom campaign feature from Blizzard?
I heard that you can only have this feature on 1.27b or older versions because if you use a newer version after 1.27b, the client will immediately attempted to download 1.32 Reforged version.

Considering that Reforged only recently came out, we just have to wait and see what comes of the game over the next few months.

Changing Malfurion's Quest to work on 1.27b isn't an option at this stage as it would require total reworks for particular maps. In addition, the client only updates the game for you if you want to access the online multiplayer side of the game. If it is just the single player experience you are after, you don't have to update to the latest client.

waiting to see if blizzard stops being stupid, in this modern age we live in, is not necessarily the wisest path to take. best have a plan b. even if that plan b is torrenting a bootleg 1.31 to every man woman and child willing to pirate for the sake of still having campaigns. best to jump ship to your own life raft than continue to follow old captain blizzard as he descends ever further into madness. nothing wrong with hoping things work out and blizzard comes back to its senses, but just make sure you have a few cards up your sleeve if that doesn't happen.

I was more referring to waiting to see what happens before announcing any project plan changes itself. Of course I have alternate plans if Reforged doesn't improve over the foreseeable future. There's just no point in stating which plan I'm going to take due to the degree of uncertainty at the moment with the state of the game over the next 6 to 12 months.

However, I will confirm that Malfurion's Quest will still being worked on. No matter how long it takes or what becomes of Reforged, I intend to continue making Malfurion's Quest and see it through to the end.

Until we see what happens with Warcraft 3 Refunded for these few years to come, and for those who still wanna play warcraft 3 custom campaigns and single player, download Warcraft 3 1.31 public test, but don't try to go online as it will immediately update to 1.32 Refunded. You can even find this on Blizzard's official website, so just google "Public Test Realm 1.31".
Happy gaming to all of yous :)

Hello, does this campaign follow the canon storyline? I just want to experience the world of Azeroth more.
No, it's an alternate storyline. I would recommend that you start with "The Adventures of Rowan the Wise" campaign first and then the orc and undead campaigns, if you're interested in this. It would provide you with better understanding of the whole story.

No, it's the alternate version of Warcraft 3. This Campaign in particular is the alternate version of Eternity's End Campaign (RoC Night Elf), although it has some elements from Terror of the Tides (TfT Night Elf Campaign) and World of Warcraft. It's the fourth Campaign in a series, the other three by the same author being alternate versions of the other three RoC Campaigns with some TfT elements. However most (if not all) locations and characters in this Campaign do appear in WoW, although some have different names or roles, for example in WoW Mother Shahraz is just a shivarra enslaved by Illidan, and here she's the leader of the shivarra and one of the main leaders of the Burning Legion, while in WoW the shivarra are led by the Coven of Shivarra.

Hey guys!

For the past several months, I have been busy planning out the story and missions for the Sentinel story-line. Today, I am happy to announce that the planning stage has been completed and am now commencing development of the maps!

This process involves both creating new maps and revising the existing ones to add additional story elements and gameplay improvements. You can always check out which maps are being worked on by checking out the Development Process section on the Malfurion's Quest Official Forum.

I am excited about working on the maps once more, and look forward to to sharing the final outcome once Malfurion's Quest has been completed. Until then, stay tuned :)

Glad to hear, Turnro. I'm sure we're all very excited to see the Sentinel story done (I have always been) any time soon, maybe in the end of this year. Best of luck with the project!
