I think he's gonna add a tanker later on, maybe. And btw, we haven't used the giants of ashenvale any of the chapters so far.[
Nope, the way to download it is exactly how it's always been by clicking on the download button near the top of the page.

What about Illidan??? In the highborne story he dies for good but in the sentinel one he doesnt appear yet .
I believe we're gonna encounter him in chapter 7. Maybe, if he had appeared in highbourne path and died, he's gonna appear in the sentinel as well. I do hope that if he did, Malfurion allows him to redeem by fighting the legion with him, not by imprisoning him again. It would be nice to play Illidion with the rest of the heroes as the fifth and final champion since starstrider died by one of Kil'jaeden lieutenants. But i doubt it, because 5 heroes is too much to play with. It might be possible, since we played 6 heroes at once in Jeoupardy of the horde.
We may never know:D:cool:

when will you continue the Mlafurion evil version? Can't wait to see the ending your campaign is very awesome!!!!

Malfurion's Quest Highborne campaign is expected to be finished around 3-4 months. The Sentinel storyline should be done in another 3-4 months if everything goes well.
Once both branches are finished story and gameplay wise, they will be released.

Oh man, now I have to play the campaign all over again :S

Malfurion's Quest will most likely be postponed until the main storyline and gameplay features are finished entirely.
What that means is that the next time Malfurion's Quest will be updated, you will be able to play it entirely and experience its story without waiting for future updates that may change it drastically.
Future patches after its full release will involve bug fixes or certain issues that may appear.

I feel like the evil Malfurion skin could be much better to fit the quality of the campaign as a whole. Perhaps request someone to make a custom skin for it?
Otherwise, I just completed the Sentinel one, and am halfway through with the highborne campaign. Phenomenal work.
A question of curiosity, but do I get special items since I am playing on Insane difficulty, or these artifacts are available on any difficulty?

Currently there are no special prizes in playing the game in hard or insane difficulty, but i believe there will be in time, once the game and lore is finished entirely.

A lot will change when the final version of the campaign will be released. Some of these will include the appearence of Highbourne Furion and much more.

when will next chapter begin?

There will be no more monthly released chapters. The next major update of Malfurion's Quest will include all chapters from the Highbourne Campaign as well as the Sentinel one. We assume it might take around 6 months before the campaign is fully finished.

Arch Sage Mal'furion attempts to close a portal and eradicates the whole order of the Nathrezim leaving its leaders burning in fire! :mad::mad:
Haha, got to love this evil mighty character. Thug life :)
I can't wait to see him slay Kil'jaeden the deciever 1 on 1, because everyone knows he can do it now. All it would take is consuming one last fountain

Hey, this is a very well done campaign. The gameplay is excellent, the balance is strong and the multiple new units to try out are enjoyable and well-made.
My qualms lie only with the story itself. I get the distinct impression that english is not the creator's first language - though if it is, I apologize. Much of the grammar is off, some words are used whose meaning is not correct in the context, and the flow of the language is just odd. These things happen at least once per cutscene and usually more often. I'm not sure where it takes place in the timeline either as there are both Highborne and Naga - which, if memory serves - the Naga are the Highborne and those Highborne that aren't would be Night Elves. Other than the story itself having its quirks as mentioned, this is extremely enjoyable and worth the playthrough.

Just my two cents. :)

Illidan did mention that the highbourne he commanded aren't the ones that betrayed the night elves and brought the legion. He said that they were made from the fountains nearby, which means that its ok to have naga and highbourne at the same time, because the naga are the original highbourne who were banished..I hope that clearify what you don't get :)

Hey guys! This post has been long overdue, but I am happy to say that Malfurion's Quest is heading in a new direction of development that will hopefully bring this project done sooner rather than later.

Firstly, there will be no release for v1.4 as stated at the end of the current version of the game. No more updates or releases will be brought out until the entire campaign is complete.

Second is that both story-lines will no longer be worked on in parallel. I am focusing my current efforts to finish the initial maps for the Highborne story path before focusing on the Sentinel one. In addition, there will be a massive polish stage once all the maps have been completed.

Finally, I will not be attending the forums in order to focus more of my time on the development of Malfurion's Quest. Any questions or concerns will instead be answered by FallenStar, who is working closely with me to get this massive project done.

With this new plan, I aim to have the basis of the remaining maps done within 6 months, followed by a period of necessary polishing. I thank everyone who has supported me over the last 4 years and hope you all enjoy Malfurion's Quest once the full version is ready to play :)

Hello everyone, I would also like to mention that I will update you on the progress of the campaign and that we do have a few projects in mind to showcase before the Campaign's release. We plan to make this an amazing experience for you, improving a lot on the gameplay and story. Malfurion's Quest will be updated to be more intense, dark, exciting and interesting.

If you have any questions regarding the campaign, I'll gladly answer without any spoilers. We still take into account the issues, bugs, glitches and feedback that you encounter during your playthrough of Malfurion's Quest 1.3b
Thank you so much for your patience and support.

We can't wait to share this with you.

We want to make the Highborne feel slightly different than the Sentinels in terms of base building and troops. Both races have their own weaknesses and that is intentional.
Balancing both of them equally with tankers and damage dealers will not benefit the variety we're looking for.
However, we might add more troops in the future regarding both races, including a tank unit in the Highborne army as the story progresses. But we're making no promises at the time.

Yes in the original campaign curse of the blood elves after kael and vashji managed to save illidan from maien and illidan asked about kael'thas and his people identity vashji replied that they were the last remmants of the highborne that served him long ago.Perhaps these highborne from malfurions guest are in fact those high elves that were probably found by illidan and after consuming the arcane fountain they became once again highborne

And the Naga are the rest of the highborne who transformed into humanoid sea serpents, which i said before lol
This may be an alternate campaign, but its origins are based on warcraft lore facts.

I hope you can do voice acting later on. This project could rise to be the greatest campaign on this site. There are many people who do voice acting for warcraft 3 nowadays. Just be careful in choosing Mal'furion's voice. It should sound wise, intense and combined with frustration according to the situation. Just like warcraft 3 night elf campaigns.
i hope you can consider voice acting in the future, but I suppose finishing the project's context is the first priority to you.

We often get that request of adding voice acting to Malfurion's Quest at some point. However, that is, unfortunately, the last thing we're thinking about.
Currently, we're focusing on the following:
-Finishing/Revamping the Highbourne storyline;
-Finishing/Revamping the Sentinel storyline;
-Releasing a trailer on Malfurion's Quest;
-Testing the Campaign;
-Polishing both branches and fixing major bugs/issues;
-Releasing the Campaign;
-Bugs/glitches fixes based on feedback;
-Possible addition to more Optional Quests;

Ideas we're currently considering:
-Adding extra content (Two new short stories based on characters within Turnro's campaigns);
-Voice acting for Malfurion's Quest;

New sentinel units each with unique spells are definitely intriguing. With two story lines containing multiple optional missions is very awesome!!

I was playing the mission on the highbourne side where you have to retrieve the key in the temple. And, I got stuck at certain point where I couldn't proceed because my hero didn't have mass teleport but he was really close to a level up. Does that mean I have to go far back to get the level up?

Hey King, we'll look into this and get a fix on it in the next update. I don't have an answer right now for this issue but I'll see what I can do later on today if you haven't loaded a previous save file already.

Hey Morris, good to see you checking up on us.

There's definitely a lot to be said about Malfurion's Quest compared to the current version that's up on Hive right now.

Turnro and I discussed the Campaign to great lengths and we came to the conclusion that Malfurion's Quest required a revamp after the introductory chapters.

Some of these new changes focus on story elements by adding significantly more to each chapter though extra cutscenes and in game dialogue. At the same time we removed other cutscenes/dialogue that we found inconsistent with the story of Malfurion's Quest.
We wanted this Campaign to be darker compared to the previous ones but there's still some classic humour and silly characters throughout the chapters.

Since this will take some time as we're reworking old chapters as well as making new ones we want to offer every player a new experience with twists and turns even to the people who have already played this version.

Here are a few things you can expect from the new update:

-New characters;
-Changed chapters ;
-A more intriguing story;
-Unique boss fights;
-All chapters released from 1 to 10 on both story branches + Interludes;

We've also seen a lot of questions about the future of Turnro's campaign making.
Most will be happy to know that we've come up with an answer that hopefully will please those that were curious about this.

While I cannot reveal much at the moment, all I can say is that we plan to extend Malfurion's Quest content after its full release by making other characters playable with their own stories.

You will be hearing from Turnro very soon as he would like to share his ideas with the rest of the community and give everyone an update on the development of Malfurion's Quest as well as future plans.

The Campaign is being worked on every day to make sure it will be released in 2018.
I hope I was able to answer a few of your questions. Let me know if there's anything else you wish to know.

Your answer is perfect. Happy to see Turnro won't stop after Malfurion's Quest, I loved your campaigns and played them nearly on all difficulties except for Brutal which I am.not good at still :')
I got confused from reading some of your comments, are you going to release the Highborne storyline first then work.on the Sentinel or are you going to release both at the same time?
Oh and good luck!

So right now we are currently working on the Highbourne campaign only unlike before, where both branches would be worked on in a parallel. For instance, we would finish chapter 7 on the highbourne, then immediately after we would focus on the sentinel one.
The Sentinel campaign is dropped until the Highbourne Campaign is finished.

After we're done with the Highbourne Campaign we'll focus all of our efforts on the Sentinel story where we will revamp it and finish it following the same working pattern like the highbourne story.

Both of them will be released at the same time.

Hi,
I'm happy that you're working on this everyday. First of all, its a good hobby really, and second, everybody's expecting the full release. And I have a few suggestions that might make the game more interesting, and help you on future campaigns and stories:

-Make a section of donations from players in each campaign's blog. I'm sure fans would help as much as they can, as it would give you more encouragement and help a bit. You can ask about this from OutsiderXE as he already done this feature on his blog.

-Consider adding Malfurion's mount in sentinel campaign with a few reworkings as the final model, and also i suggest adding evil malfurion's final model as well, describing how power corrupted him and made him pure evil. I've noticed that red Malfurion's picture and I think its a forshadowing for a new model ;)

-I believe that highbourne's ending scene (current version) was very harsh to Illidan. Yes, Malfurion's evil now, and everything can be expected, but maybe there is a way to make it less brutal, like draining his power and adding to his own, or imprisonment.

-Maybe druid Mal'furion (sentinel storyline) can use Illidan to combat the legion as an ally, as well as a chance for redemption to him to doing the right thing. I'm sure everybody will be pleased to play both the stormrages, for a chapter or two. As arrogant and stubborn Mal'furion is, he can be convinced to do this as we all have seen in the original WC3 campaign.

-If you add Illidan, the heroes will be 5 in total, and i think it will be too much. so, one of the heroes gonna have to die ;) It will introduce the brutality even more clearly in this campaign's universes, because anybody can die at any moment. We all saw how the whole order of Nethrizem burned in closing the portal scene.

-and the final thing i wanna see..VOICE ACTING!! haha, i'm sure you guys got bored of me requesting this so many time! When you finish the whole thing, consider doing this because its really remanded in campaigns nowadays. Everybody loved rowan's campaign because of its voice acting. the characters aren't mutes, and you can understand things more clearly.

I hope you guys take my thoughts into consideration, and good luck in finishing the project!!
I will be waiting ;)

Hey Ahman, you'd be pleased to know that Turnro is already considering the donation idea which you're suggesting.
Unfortunately, the script for the storyline is already concrete and it will not change. The story will remain the same with the new changes for the next update.

As for Malfurion being brutal to Illidan, the new update will show even a worse side of him than that. That's just how the character is written.

I cannot make any promises unfortunately but I believe that the new story will not disappoint you upon release and it will hopefully please you as well as a shock to you.

Back to the voice acting thing?:p It's not impossible but it would be the most difficult thing to do for Malfurion's Quest at the moment so this idea like I've mentioned before will probably happen but not anytime soon.
The reason to that it's because Rowan the Wise was more of a relief funny campaign where everyone had a blast and having fun doing the voice acting.
Malfurion's Quest, on the other hand, is more of a serious campaign that requires more time and effort to make the characters believable and alive.
It's also worth to be noted that Malfurion's Quest has a bigger variety of characters than Rowan the Wise did.

Turnro will make an announcement soon perhaps at this end of this month (unsure myself), that will answer a lot of people's questions and will give you insight on what's going on and what will happen in the future.
Really something to look forward to for everyone.

Hey guys! It's been a while, and I have a lot of exciting news to share regarding Malfurion's Quest and the direction I wish to take moving forward.

Video topics include:
  • Current progress with Malfurion's Quest and answers to common questions
  • Announcement of a Patreon page to help support the project. This page is not available yet, as this is more to let you guys know what I'm looking to do and to get your feedback on my ideas

Amazing! looks like the campaign is getting bigger and bigger. Can't wait to see the full project by the end of 2018! I hope this "Pateron" thing works for you, and I would glad to help by at least the 2$ tier.

Oh I like the prologue!
I really enjoyed the campaign.

I have some questions:
When to release the full version of this campaign?
Is the story related to the World of Warcraft?
Does it end with the same ending when I choose either Sentinel or Highborne?

I'm a new member. Hi!
