  1. Foul Magics might be quite imbalanced against normal races since they won't be able to build on blight.
  2. What's an Arablast?
  3. Token of Spiders=Staff of Silence.
  4. Eyes of the Deep seems imbalanced because it's permanent. Maybe increasing the cooldown or something. Yeah, it costs a lot but other items also cost a lot and might not be as useful. Purity Cells isn't permanent for instance.
  5. Swarmlings' icon looks disabled instead of passive.
  6. The Undertaker's burrowed form doesn't have turn animations. It's like the bugged Corrupted Ancient Protector that shoots with its back.
  7. Pestilential shower doesn't do anything to sleeping units (creeps).
  8. The Underlord seems quite powerful.
  9. Spreading Corruption says it spawns a Blight Spore when it creates a Blighted Locust.
A really neat implementation of two factions.

  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.

A really neat implementation of two factions.

1.) Normal races are able to build upon blight, they cancel out areas of blight when build. It's part of the regular game mechanics.
2.) It's like a crossbow. I took some creative liberties in naming the unit.
3.) It's similar but also stops enemies from attacking. Vastly reduced duration.
4.) I don't believe it's that overpowered. It's a late game item with a 90 second CD.
5.) Icon turned out too dark.
6.) Unfortunately, that's a game limitation. When a unit has no movement, it will not turn.
7.) Kinda intentional, wouldn't want to accidentally attack a sleeping creep just because it happens in be in the area of effect. Could always attack the camp then use the ability.
8.) It's fun balanced

Well, the Ancient Protector does turn and it doesn't move when rooted.

Welp. I think it's because it's a structure with proper animation. I'm not skilled enough to know how to edit models that much just to add a small detail. If you happen to know a simple solution to the turn while rooted, let me know.

I had the chance to play some of your races and i fell in love immediately with the Frosaken, BUT as long as i can appreciate the HUMONGOUS creativty, after some match, i ended up not finding the real enthusiasm. BUT HERE... OH MY GOD, HERE... this is gotta be the best custom race i've ever played. I love the desing and all the little things. LOVE IT. The only "complain" i have about your races is that me, as a noobie-player that uses to avoid the passive hero skills during the campaign focusing on the spell to heal or damage... keep finding an 80% of unlockable spells that are mostly pasive or really elaborate. Maybe some more ignroant and gorund-to-earth spell to some hero would be cool.
Said that I LOVE YOUR STUFF.

The wording on your problems with my spells is confusing. Are you saying they're too complicated? A lot of spells just have to do with expirementing. I also run into problems of not wanting to resuse spells I had previously made.

My Forsaken are in a need of an update. I am not satisfied on how they turned out.

Let me reword it in proper English. Your spells are sometimes slightly complicated. I haven't exprimented em all, of course, but I notice an rpg tendency, referring to percentage, and skills that get better, stronger defense and something like this. I see a lack of more down-to-earth things like:
This spell summon this unit
This spell heal 50 hp to the allied target
and so on.

There is already A LOT to learn while playing cause the creativity - that i love - of your races is enromous... so this makes even more hard to have allo complex heroes, and no n00b hero avaible, like... Arthas xD

Said tthat every race you made gives a spin to the average gameplay. And it's incredible.
Something that, for example, should NEVER be changed of the nerubian undead is the fact that they can't harvest gold. I love how this problem forced me to plan everything differently. I love how I - player not used to get too many mines from the very first moment - had to rush to make as more mines as possibles very soon.
I appreciated your work with the other races.
I ejoyed my time playing the undead nerubians. It's something different, and even greater accomplishment.

I see I see. I don't think I will make a "noobish" hero lol. I kinda like having cool and complicated abilities for my heroes. A lot of the other simple abilities are already taken by vanilla heroes so I force myself to improvise something new that I haven't yet done. After making around 100 heroes throughout all the races it gets a little tricky trying to come with a new ability that's just simple.

I am glad you enjoy the races, hopefully you'll find my others enjoyable as well. I'll be working on revamping my older ones and don't have many new races planned anytime soon.

Well it's not a matter of "noobish" but rather "straightforward", "simple", "uncomplicated", "accessible", "fundamental", "basic", etc. Designing the likes of the Paladin vs. the likes of the Firelord.

But you know all of that; we've talked about our contrasting Custom Hero design philosophy before (& how I think you should've lowered the bar for yourself long ago), so I'll leave it at that. : )

Ah yes, the "passive with cooldown" bit.

Y'know I've known about that for years, but never really came up with something to do with that knowledge. :< What have you used it in?
Blight Spreader from the Corrupter. Ceaseless Stings from Hornets.
Woe of the Fallen from Conservator. Monstrous Presence from the Behemoth.

I have many more ideas for the ability that I am already utilizing in my Dark Iron Clan overhaul and so on.
