Legacy of Lordaeron is a custom singleplayer RPG campaign inspired by the Founding of Durotar campaign and World of Warcraft. The gameplay is basically an adventuring and questing style, levelling and unraveling the story. The object of this campaign is to complete quests while developing your heroes' abilities just like in the Founding of Durotar.

Important : Due to the new features implied in this campaign, this campaign will no longer work on any earlier versions of the game below patch 1.29.2. You can download the latest patch of Warcraft 3 via Battle.net or via the Warcraft 3 Launcher. (Requires CD-Keys)
You can, however, download an old version of the campaign which is compatible with patch 1.27a here. (This version will not receive anymore updates)

Act One : - Fixed a bug in the Necrolyte's Quest. Black Dragon Claw and Eye of Shadow are now visible.
- Replaced Faranell in the Secret Mission (the underground cave) with Nathanos instead.
- Fixed the Death Knight's Ebon Might ability: It increases the damage by percent instead of a specified number, also this ability affect the DK only.
- Replaced the Hunter's Black Arrows ability with Poison Arrows.
- Replaced the Mage's Meteor Strike ability with Fire Bolt.
- Changed a bit the story of the Blackthorn's bandits.
- Small bug fixes and changes all over the maps of this act.

FAQ

- Q : Why do I get a black screen when I try to play this campaign?
- A: That's because you don't have the latest patch of Warcraft 3 installed. You need to update your Warcraft 3 version in order to play this campaign. (Currently it works only on patch above 1.29.2)
- Q: Why do I get back to the menu screen whenever I return from a sub-map?
- A: As I said above. You need to update your Warcraft 3 version to the latest patch.
- Q: If I rename the filename of this campaign, will it cause any bug?
- A: Yes, it will. The campaign transition will not work if the filename of this campaign is too long.
- Q : Why do I get back to the beginning of this campaign when I reload?
- A : It is possible that sometimes the transition will fail and you will get back to the beginning of this campaign, this occur even in Rexxar's campaign, my advice is to always backup your progress or make sure to save regularly to prevent losing your progress.

The only difference between version 1.29 and 1.27 so far is that : on patch 1.29 you can customize you character's name while on patch 1.27 you can not.


Known Issues on patch 1.29 :

- The Hero Naming System : so far, the system prevents from using existing warcraft 3 hero names like naming your character for example : Arthas, Sylvanas...etc. However, it is possible to add a prefix to those names and they will work. I don't want to bother myself to make this hero naming system complicated because it's not really a big deal. (btw, the max length of the hero name is 10)
- Neutral Hostiles units have non-team color from what it look like.
- The leaderboard that shows the remnants of Bloodfang Lieutanants doesn't seem to work.
- The sky box that shows at the map borders.

Played it and i can't help but be surprised, dare i say its better than Rexxar's campaign. I'm playing atm as Destruction Warlock and have yet to finish the campaign.
And of course bugs:

Anarchist's Pendant is named Pendant of Mana when buying it from Marketplace
Respawned creeps are aggressive towards Neutral Hostile creeps
Fellson's sludge carrion mentions in the tooltip when leveling it up that sludges are permanent, yet the actual ability says the sludges last for 65 sec
Alterac - whats the point in having purchasable Val'kyr if we have no food to hire them with
Way gate from red alterac ogre base is bugged; it only leads to itself and not the other hidden waygate
Merphist's Skewer i think should be usable on magic immune enemies, since its literally just a sword skill
I dont think the Fellson should have the chemical rage ability, yes he is an alchemist, but he isnt really useful in autoattacking. Maybe some other support spell
Immolation on Merphist is kinda redundant since my warlock has immolate
Scarlet Monastery - why are there 2 way gates leading to the same location
Invasion of Ambermill says it was given by Shadw Priest Allister, yet his name is just Apothecary
Kill all Worgen invadors --> invaders
After the worgen invaded the base, and we got there, some worgen stayed behind to be slowly autoattacked to death in the ensuing cinematic
Several items bought from the marketplace have different store names than their inventory names
As soon as i obtained the gnoll scale, the sigil of blood was marked completed, even if u didnt kill the revenant; once i got the sigil of blood, all other requirements for Grimthos were uncompleted even if they were.
Several worgen attacking southshore go back to their spawn points'
Why are the gryphon riders inside the stormpike cave weaker than those outside?
Not a fan of the looks of the SI:7 asssassins
Captain Crudbeard's topmost cave has trees clipping through it
Den of the Dargons ---> Dragons, has no description, and heroes are unable to gain exp, stash is vulnerable
Several loot items from bosses are purchasable in the marketplace
Bloodfang Lieutenant scoreboard is bugged; doesnt show remaining or killed lieutenants

Well the marketplace sells them anyway, and i got several boss loots from buying them way ahead of fighting said bosses.

More suggestions:
Kinda ironic that Mug'thol is just a unit and not a hero like his lieutenants. Also typical hack n slash.
I suggest turning slow harvesting for all AI, sometimes i reach enemy bases and find workers standing around, no gold mine nor trees to harvest from anymore.
Scholomance should have a way gate for easy exiting. Was a pain walking all the way back.

Doing chapter 3 atm, boy is it a pain to defend from all sides. Sylvanas and army is kinda useless.

I did not,. Besides I have only encountered this during the tirisfal glades. So I was still able to finish the Silverpine forest quest
and the dreadlord threat

Interesting. So this only happens when you get back from Agamand Mills? Perhaps, your save files were corrupted. Are you using a long Save-File name when saving your progress via the Menu (F10)?
Btw, are you playing on the official patch or the PTR?

I'm playing blood death knight on hard difficulty. I've done 2/3 Sylvanas quests in undercity, currently working on completing the last one where you have to collect plants. It seems you forgot to change prices for some of the items there, so selling some items on that map is cheaper than usual (scroll of healing for example).

Otherwise, it started kinda slow and it was difficult to get around the map with mobs respawning so quickly and they aren't pushovers either. That said, after you reach level 3-4, it gets very easy. Blood death knight pretty much can't die, and I rarely even have to heal his with the alchemist.

EDIT: Runes were hard to come by at first, which is a good thing imo, but later you get them a lot more often (this applies for non-undercity sections). I don't remember if I actually needed a rune once after level 2-3.

EDIT 2: Crypt Fiend have burrow disabled on some maps, but enabled on others.

Hi, I want to play this campaign but my game always crash even though I'm using the newer patch of wc3. i'm using the 1.30 patch. So do I need to downgrade it to 1.29.2?. Please I need reply asap

EDIT: I tried the 1.27 version on the 1.27 patch of wc3 on my other laptop and seems the bug about transferring to the undercity from the submap then you will return to menu is still there. So the newer version is all I have

Have you by any chance renamed the filename of this campaign? Otherwise, what operating system are you running : Mac or Windows?

And yeah, Patch 1.30 has some technical issues at the time being afaik and I don't recommend people playing this campaign on it for now.

I kinda wanted to play this campaign, but unfortunately I cant update my Warcraft 3 above 1.26 for some reason, maybe it's because I use the CD version, I have them for a long time.

I had a great time so far but I'm kinda stuck.

In arathi highland (act 2), I can't complete the trol'kelar quest. The event has been triggered but the iron gate is still closed.
What also bothers me is the fact that the quest is not pinpoint on the map and there is an invisible wall which prevents me from entering the North-East cave.
Do I have to find a key or activate a mechanism?

Bring the Hero who has the Sigil of Trollbane to the Iron Gate and it will open.

The Forsaken base is meant to be less effective in that mission. You goal is kill the Generals while the Forsaken maintain their defenses.

Its a great campaign but I kinda like the old version of act three where the units of allies and enemies charged with each other alongside with the bosses like what happen in blaze of glory. If only I could play the old version then I would be happy. I give 7/10 for this campaign

None of my heroes has the sigil of trollbane
I think the game got confused because I turned at the same time the main quest of the 3 sigils and the side quest of the ogre.
Also by completing the sidequest of the ogre's head, according to my log I'm supposed to get an item called silent huntress but I don't see it anywhere on the map.

that's exactly what happened. The quest of the 3 sigil is marked as completed but I didn't receive the item.
I'm playing on 1.29.2 PTR
what I also did before returning the quest is visiting the den of dragons

I'm pretty sure that's what causing the problem. You shouldn't be playing this campaign on the PTR. Play it on the official patch 1.29 instead.

OK it was just an infortunate bug I guess. By using mass teleport I simultaneously returned the sidequest and the main quest, so that the custscene intoducing the next main quest wasn't triggered.

I've tried many times and it's not a persistent bug, just bad luck

Anyway, it 's a very good campaign. Sometimes it's tedious but that's inherent in that category of campaign.
