Gameplay informations :

Pick one of the 27 heroes and fight in the arena, buy items and level up to become more powerful. Protect your minions, you must destroy the enemy Turret to win the match. Minions do a lot more damage than the heroes against the Turret. In the battlefield, weak and strong bonus items will spawn randomly. Breakable crates will also spawn randomly, it blocks the units. Plus, a "BRAWL" starts after every 8 minutes, all heroes are teleported into a smaller arena (cooldown of spells reseted, health and mana restored) and you must kill all the enemy heroes to win the BRAWL event.


  • up to 3 versus 3 players (4 total players is my minimum recommended)
  • use shortcuts : [Q] [W] [E] [R (ultimate)] to cast your 4 spells
  • one Turret per team, destroy it to win
  • kill enemy units to gain more gold
  • buy items (tier 1 to tier 3) to upgrade your attacks and your spells
  • one BRAWL starts after each 8 min, fight, the winning team will get the bonus gold.
  • 5 BRAWL battlefields are available : (2)classic, (1)capture the point, (1)duels, (1)decrescendo
  • items with ability power will upgrade the "Intelligence-Heroes-type" (its bonus damage for spells only)
  • try combos, item builds, original team compositions, etc.
  • heroes can level up up to lvl 18, ultimate unlocked at lvl 6, can be upgraded at 11 and 16
  • other features : damage indicator, shield system, camera zoom, some heroes use "Rage" and "Energy" systems (replace the mana)
  • you can choose between the 7 types-of-minion you want as allies


Intelligence-heroes : the majority of their spells can be upgraded by buying ability power "AP" items. Each Intelligence-hero has AP with their spells. Example : If your hero has a spell with 85% AP and your hero has one item that gives +40 AP, the spell will deal (40*0.85 = 34) 34 bonus damage. Agility-heroes and Strength-heroes use agility/strength/attack damage with their spells instead of ability power. Items are very important, they improve the heroes.





Quick tips

  • protect your minions, they are the main source of damage versus the Turret
  • your opponents keep spamming their spells to kill the minions? Try to fight them, when their spells are on cooldown, they are weaker
  • if all the enemies are Agility-heroes and they are all buying lots of DPS items, you should buy armor items
  • enemy Intelligence-heroes with ability power items can deal huge amount of damage, %Magic Resist items are good to reduce their damage
  • you should not buy the same item twice, sometimes items have unique passive effect that doesnt stack. ex : lifesteal, critical strike chance, magic resistance, unique passive...
  • Strength-heroes usually have better crowd control spells (stun, slow, debuff...)
  • destroy an enemy Power Station, a powerful minion will spawn for your team
  • buy boots
  • you can teleport your hero in your base with [D] (after a 5.5 sec delay). The teleportation can be interrupted by the enemies
  • a powerful ally Super Minion spawns when an enemy Power Station is destroyed

How to install the map?


Make sure you have the patch 1.30.2 installed with The Frozen Throne.

1)Download the map

2)Put the downloaded file there, C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Maps\FrozenThrone\Downloads

You can create a new folder if you want, C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Maps\FrozenThrone\EXAMPLEDOWNLOADS

3)If your friends cannot join your game lobby, tell them to download the map before.

    I played this map with the creator earlier today and as someone who doesn't really enjoy dota style maps i actually quite enjoyed it, was just unfortunate that we had a leaver on our team.

    Some quick suggestions, give the circle of power each player has near the shops an inventory and make it so when the player walks over their circle the item is transferred to their inventory, i know dota has a courier that you can get but with the map size being so small a mobile item transporter doesnt seem necessary.

    Dont know if your planning on adding it already but item recipes are something of a staple in dota-style maps and with as many items as the map has it might be interesting to have in the map.

    When i played, it seemed like the only way to get potions was to go to the center shop, which had a very limited amount of potions. Adding a shop that sells potions at the main shops or adding a large variety of potions to the center shop might be something you could add.

    I already thought about item recipes, I need to think about it again. The circle of power inventory is a good idea. I don't really like having consumable or activable items but health and mana potions were a must to have imo.

    1. The downside of this map is that the map layout is not interesting at all and everything is to tight in. You can drag out neutral units right in the fray areas. I'm not sure how're you supposed to calmly creep when basically the enemy is just two steps away. No, this is not as dynamic as DotA at all.
    2. Slowness can be autocast, why not use the original icon?
    3. Instead of spamming various enhancements of the same item, why not make a system where you buy the same one and it upgrades so you'll leave more room for new items in the shops?
    4. "Cercle de puissance" is not English. Please only use names in another language as long as they are written in the Latin alphabet.
    5. Would be nice to be able to repick in test mode.
    6. You could also mention the AoE in the description of abilities.
    7. Some items don't have DISBTNs and they look green on pause/F10. You can learn more about icons:

    Interesting review, I will try to improve on those points. I will change the layout to make it more dynamic. Its the one of the most important things to change.

    In the main menu where you can see the battle.net button, well, look at the bottom right of the screen, its right there.

    You can download the latest version by clicking on the battle.net button if you don’t have 1.29.

    Or again, download the latest version of my map, maybe the recent version works better, I don’t know.

    A really nice map, I'd like to see AI built into it and maybe catering towards the casual audience a bit more. Random rune spawning feels out of control :) and the spells feel weak, I played a match against a guy and they killed me without any items, they just spent all gold on stat boosting!

    I thought about removing the bonus tomes. Random runes bonuses are now reduced (v2.1e). AI is a long and hard thing to implement so idk.

    I played the Deathlord which brought up a lot of glaring issues: creeps ignore you unless you block them, so they're pretty useless, annoying to try to farm, and they don't help you at all when you're being chased; creeps kill each other extremely quickly which makes last-hitting them frustrating; creeps spawn too infrequently which compounds the issue with how fast they kill each other; and the brawl mode doesn't account for Deathlord, at the very least, whose skeleton passive becomes nigh-useless.

    The deathlord is the most untoutched hero and that is why his spells dont have bonus Strength damage and his spells can feel "outdated". I updated the map a lot since april, but I didnt played that much with other people.

    edit: I will change Deathlord, his skin model deserve better!
