Lazer tag game

Well I am making a lazer tag game and i need a tip on how to make a item that gives a ability to the unit kinda like a weapon with mana being the shots you have left with no regeneration (items to recharge) anyway the weapon being a lazer tag gun i need a model/item tip for that and i need a model of a lazer tag gamer maybe in different styles like should i use peons/acolytes/other builders as .

Any suggestions?

Never mind about all of that, all I require is a projectile model, I dont want to have to use a lame fireball.

For the laser, maybe use one of Illidan(evil)x's laser models that he made?
