I made some items with the aura and when I put it down, the buff icon still remains for 5 seconds and then disappears. how do I make it disappear once I put the item down?

That's just how auras work. Aura update frequency is pretty low so it takes a while for the buff to fade. If you just want to use the aura to provide a visual buff, there are other ways of achieving that which will not linger like an aura will; these will require some intermediate triggers.

You could remove the buff upon losing the item.

• Conditions
  • Item = blah blah blah
• Actions
  • Unit - Remove X buff from (Triggering unit)
