An Inu Yasha RPG. While the map is complete and playable, it is still buggy and possibly imbalanced in many areas. This is a project I was unable to completely finish.

Very well done, but there are a lot of spelling errors, and I got a battle in the middle of one cinematic :)

From what I saw I was very impressed. The music was excellent, the fighting arenas are something I haven't personally seen in Warcraft 3 and enjoyed them, and so far the story seems pretty true to Inuyasha.

However, I may have come accross a game stoping glitch. After I rescued Inuyasha and was heading east to the town I never found the "old friend". Also I kept getting interupted by the battles, which were fun but because I was trying to move the story along got a little annoying. Maybe if you made them one time creeps or increased their respawn time it wouldn't be as bad. I got them up to lvl 3 by the time I saved and gave up searching for whatsherface. I went back and forth and still I never saw her. Is there something I can do?

But aside from that I am extremely immpressed and hope to finish the game.

PS: I played it a second time to see if it was a 1 time bug and the same thing is happening... am I simply not going to the right place? I headed east all the way to the Town and there was no one there but creeps that keep interupting my search. Oh, and btw sometimes I don't even have time to move before another fight, is this because I had just leveled?

@Xander: Which cinimatic did you face an encounter in? Keep in mind 2 are scripted that way. Both of which are bosses.

@jman: go thoguh the swamp, then up the mountain with the red tori. He'll be at the end of the path. The battles randomly timed, but never so short that you dont get a chance ot move. Exception to this are right after cinimatics. Leveling may have something to do with it, too.

Ok I must be stupid because I can't find whoever it is... I start at the tree pass two river/streams, and I get to this red column thing where there used to be a forcefield. Now do I go through there into the village? I tried going north when I got there but I can't find any place to go north... It's just kind of hard to scout around when I can't move map around and battles every 5 seconds. (not bashing your map just explaining why I am having trouble figuring out how to move on)

-Jman

Oh, ok I got it now. I went all the way back to the tree and found a northern path that took me where I need to go. I am still having issues with the fights. Maybe the problem is the random timer starts the moment the fight begins instead of the moment it ends...

This Map is NICE~! worth for long download.
The cinematic is well done! but when playing the ayumi song with cinematic, it's quite long to wait. It is very fresh and nice feeling when watching ur cinematic.

The battle system is ok, just too many times even i stand there. It seems like few seconds i will meet enemies.
For my suggestion: I think you can put some units randomly move slowly in map. When u attack it or enter within the enemy. Then u enter the combat system.

Another suggestion, i think u can make the camera rotating, coz some trees make block view n u may c more clearly the tree n building models. But is still ok.

4 the music mp3, u can compress it using mp3 encoder for small file size.

Anyway, i liked the cinematic n terrains you make. It i can play with friends, that is more nice~! coz i can using innuyasa, friend using kagome.

RATE: 5/5

Are we supposed to be level 10 by the time we get through the battlefield? Because all the special fights were a joke compared to my level 10 inuyasha. I really think you need to increase the random timer because it was really hard to move a lot of times. Maybe you could make the creeps give extra exp and just have less fights...

But it was still an excellent game 4.5/5

I wish to play more, but finish after beat the puppet master. =(
Here is some of my report:

During the demon come, the combat system triggered. So, donno what is happening there.

During the kagome n innuyasha talk in hut in 1 cutscene, after that two of them should be removed, but when go over they still there...means 2 kagome, 2 innuyasha.

that's all. :)

Posted an update. It should (hopefully) no longer spring a battle sequence during cinimatics. Fixed the "double inu yasha" bug.

I intentionally put in a lot of fights because without them, this map is INCREDIBLY short. Its simply to add length to the game (even with lots of fights, its only about a 45 minute long map).

@VGsatomi: Sorry for late reply...it was during the Tetsusaiga scene (at the bones), I missed most of the cinematic, and now I'm lost :(

And isn't it spelled Kikyo? Heh..You kept changing it back and forth.

The terrain and cinimatics where very awsome.
It seemed like every thing else you did not care about.

The thing that realy bothered me (other that Kikyos name being misspelled over and over) was the abilitys.
InuYashas weaponless abilitys are the "Iron Reaver Soul Stealer" and "Blades of Blood" not "Claw Wave" and... "Heavy Hit" was it?

Kagomes abilitys bothered me also. sence thay where not even with custom tooltips I expect that you will change all the abilitys later.

I got bord and left just after the humans started shooting fire arrows at us. (thay have good eyes to see us come down that water fall from behind that wall of trees)

The story line was so-so, its kinda followed the story line of InuYasha but like a drunk driver it weaved back and forth a lot and missed a few stops.

Cant wait to see it finished =þ

I'm only really familiar with the Japanese version, so I wasnt sure of all the fancy names they gave the abilites in the English version, and I'm sure no one would want a bunch of Japanese words they didnt understand. Also, my spell-making capabilites arent that great to create the effects needed to accuretly represent many of the spells used in the series, so I didnt really bother with making them elaborate. And Kikyo's direct hiragana spelling is...well, ki-kyo-u. I know they removed the extra vowel at the end when they translated, but it doesnt really matter to me.

I cant follow the story to the T because I dont have all the character models I need to do so. (im not one to use original wc3 models and simply give them Inu Yasha names. It bugs me when people do stuff like that. If I dont have a model for them, they wont be in the story). Besides, if I did everything word for word, it would all be too predictable, since I'm sure you are already familiar with the series and what happens.

Hey VG, I didnt know u had already released this map, anyway as I said before very nice map, only problem I remember is that I couldn find what to do after rescuing Inu yasha, took me alot to find the way
BTW Im not an xpert but the hiragana for Kykyou translates to ki-kio-o the last kana although is an "u" its used to make longer the last "o" sound.

Okay, I must be retarded.

I just can NOT seem to find where to go. Beyond BOTH rivers and into the town? Or just one river and in the middle-bit? I just have no clue where I am going.

VGsatomi, maybe as a suggestion when the player gets to the spot to go north, add a trigger where it stops the player and pans the camera up to show where to go at that spot. Maybe make Inu Yasha say something like "I smell her nearby" or something akin to his character.

I'm already level 10... still searching...

I don't know if you intend to correct any errors, but I have a lot to point out here.
One: Kikyo. It's not Kikyou, it's Kikyo.
Two: InuYasha. The 'y' in InuYasha is supposed to be capitalized - but it's one word.
Several other spelling errors and grammatical flaws that I can't remember.
I'd say it's a fun, good map, but I can't. While, at first it seems professional, you start to play, and the change in storyline at times... They're pulling up facts out of thin air... Feudal Era people such as InuYasha wouldn't know they were in the Feudal Era. That's just what Historians decided to call that time-line. The leap to "You're from the Future" was just insane. She tells him that He's from the past. Kagome is the one who comes up with all these weird details. You seem to prefer InuYasha... Honestly, for a map that starts out so... professional... it really just turns out to be a four-year-old's drawing, in an 18-year-old's notebook.

Edit: I know what I said may have seemed like I was going all, "DUDE FOLLOW THE STORYLINE!" But, what I meant was... I could understand some storyline changes, it was the "typos" and serious story flaws I had a problem with. I didn't mean to come across as a dick, I just hoped to help. I suppose I forgot to name the good parts -- I liked the fighting system, it was fun. It reminded me of FF7... I liked the character's abilities; the cinematics were pretty good too. However, I stand by what I originally said, though, I still wanted to make sure you understood I didn't mean offense.
I'd give this map a 2/5, (The fighting system gives 2, but storyline holds the substance of Warcraft, for me; I always feel the map relies to much on the spells and skins otherwise.)

awesome!5/5
but if you polished the game from feedback(the random battle was boring, and some event run in the place that shouldnt be) it would be 10/5 :D

-such a long intro...
-why not black mask?
-boy, that demon sure is fat, I mean slow
-but why/how did the barrier disappear?
-no time to recover first (Inu Yasha)?
-why would the bow and the quiver be there? What, she died there near the tree, her body decomposed and her weapons did not or at least were not even taken by somebody?
-battles camera is weird since it's not a turn based game
-the eastern map edge looks odd; it's a black something
-units selected during cinematic mode
-shouldn't the water current just push the heroes?
-shouldn't arrows be falling in the middle of a battle in the arrow rain region?
-enemy units in a battle don't all attack at once if someone from their party is being attacked
-bodies don't clear out of a battle if another one starts soon after
-if the other samurai are not supposed to die, why make them be considered as enemy by the player?
-well, sure, let's duel but Inu Yasha wasn't at full HP
-Kagome's spells can only be upgraded during battles

3/5
. Could use more variety and levels!
