Have you done any actual browser speed tests and rendering tests? None of those are rendering or speed tests, which are by far the most important ones.

Internet Explorer: No comments really need to be made. It's not an option.

Firefox: Incredible memory usage, starts off fine and turns into a mess. Also, rendering issues.

Chrome: Starts off fine, then spawns 100 processes. Incredible CPU usage.

Safari: Not entirely sure, it's terrible on Windows but I've heard it's really good on Macs.

Opera: Good CPU usage, good memory usage. I've had a few issues with select sites, but in terms of resource usage, Opera is by far the best in my experience.

EDIT: I've also tried a few Linux browsers, but the difference among those that I've tried is usually in design and concept. uzbl is cool. Midori is really unstable, last I tried. Nothing special about Epiphany. Dillo is hilarious. A friend of mine really likes Conkeror (not Konqueror). Also, Lynx is the best internet browser ever.

Look at your memory usage after several hours of use. For those of us who don't have tons of memory, it's pretty terrible.

    I use FF
I've never really had problems with memory usage, my comps pretty old but FF never seems to be the cause of heavy memory usage for me - idk.

Really no matter what browser you use, we can ALL agree that IE sucks - it's like that common enemy that brings unlikely allies together to wage war.

Speed on loading web pages isn't necessarily dependent on the browser. I get faster load speeds on IE than any of the others and supposedly IE is "bad".
As for customizability, they are all customizable relatively easily (I'm speaking IE, Chrome, and Mozilla), otherwise no one would use them.

Anyway, the bottom line is that it's a fucking browser. They're all the same thing essentially. If you like one more than the other but still have problems, go make your own mod for it.

for the record, I find that IE has a much better product-support as well.

Oh, so that's what you meant by loading speed. I thought you meant how fast a browser opened when you clicked on it. :p
