As can be seen, exceptions are knights, bears (9%) and frost wyrms by 6%; NE archers with 18%
knights originally had 12% increment in ROC but then their base dmg got buffed w/o buffing their upgrades, so.

whereas bears have lower upgr becuz of roar spell I think (or generally becuz they can cast spells)

not sure about NE archers and frost wyrms (18% and 6%)

Well, depends on what dice means and how much is on the units beforehand.

For instance the Footman has 11 base damage, 1 damage number of dice and 2 damage sides per die. The upgrade gives 1 attack dice bonus - base and 1 attack dice bonus - increment per level.
Checked the gameplay constants but didn't find anything related to this.

Hello,

so there is something I perhaps have missed. it seems like the 2 armor upgrade give 12%HP for units with no armor. however, if there are units which start with very high armor, 2 armor will be much less than that (e.g. human knights and many human units) (can also be seen in picture)

this makes knights better before any upgrades vs abominations as opposed to when both are upgraded becuz abominations benefit much more from the armor upgrades than knights do.

what??? dice is used to play in many games look here, for e.g. ludo, monopoly, and many more.

most games have dice with 6 sides, i.e. you can roll a number from 1 up to 6, but there can be dice with different number of sides depending on the dice shape, but in WCIII, dice can have any number of sides we choose.

but anyway, we can simply take the average dmg bonus per upgrade, which is the average in the number of dice (e.g. if dice have 6 sides, average is 3.5)
