How can i make a spell last only for a number of attacks?

use integer variables and everytime a unit attacks set the variable = variable + 1. when it reaches your desired number, null the effects.

That can be abused by repeatedly clicking attack command and stop pressing stop after, sadly but it is a nice way.

Can't you just do variable++ instead of variable = variable + 1? I believe it saves memory.

You cant, thats a capability of C and C++, but JASS and GUI cant do that.

Yes, use the a unit is attacked event and try around with it, its sometimes messy because it has a small bug, you actually give the order faster as the damage is coming (a delay between) which could be abused by actually spamming attack.

however, if you spam the spell he is trying to create you only screw yourself over because the effect ends much quicker. so, theres not much to worry about in his specific case
