StarCraft 2 prices released weeks ago in my country and it was quite shocking for me especially for CE price. So I want to know how much sc2 costs in your country and how much your PC games usually cost.

For me:
Country: Thailand
SC2 normal package : 2500 THB (76 USD)
SC2 Collector's Edition : 4900 THB (150 USD)
Standard PC games : 700-1000 THB (21 USD - 30 USD)

I don't know why the prices go up so much although the living cost in Thailand is very low... for example one cheap meal costs 1 USD.

Country : Canada
SC2 Normal Package : 60 CAD (58 USD)
SC2 Collector's Edition : 100 CAD (97 USD)
Standard New Computer Game : 50 - 80 CAD (48 USD - 77 USD)
Standard Computer Game : 15 - 40 CAD (14 USD - 36 USD)

When I bought Warcraft 3, the day after it came out, it was $80. I think the Sc2 price is pretty reasonable, in Canada at least.

Country : Sweden
SC2 Normal Package : 429 SEK (60 USD)
SC2 Collector's Edition : 849 SEK (120 USD)

Edit: I think this was quite a bargain, since most new games (like shitty graphic-whore 360 games) are like 600 SEK (85 USD)...
Although I couldnt afford the collectors edition...

Country : Bulgaria
SC2 Normal Package : 107 lv (67.7 USD)
SC2 Collector's Edition : 179 lv (113.3 USD)
Standard Computer Game : 15 - 70 lv (9.4 USD - 44.3 USD)

I've payed 60 BGN for RoC and 60 BGN for TFT, total 120 BGN, year: 2004. Lal 321 BGN for full SC2. Good thing I won the first volume cause I dont see how 300 BGN or so, would be justified considering the other expenses a person has, as in 'I have a life, my life isnt Starcraft 2'. Note that WoL is currently unpolished for that price. As long as they release expansions in half a year each and you have a job, it is fine.

hmm looks like its the cheepest in my country :)

Country: UK
SC2 PC Game: £35 (52. USD)
Normal PC games: £20 - £35

@OP: Its probabaly so expensive as its an imported item, your currency is weak on international markets hence why things like food (which your country produces itself) are cheap whilst imported goods are expensive.

The price taken from the company which has the rights to sell SC2 in my country, I don't think it could be called an imported item. And I can get the real imported ones from online sites or some stores that legally imported them for the cheaper price than the one I posted, maybe some 5-10 USD higher than the standard price.

Holy shit, that is cheap. Shipping costs included. Do you know any good/reliable webstores that ship abroad (the Netherlands)?

Well Im ordering mine from http://www.coolshop.co.uk/catalog/minisite/starcraft-2 but I won't know whether its reliable until release date and have no idea if they ship abroad. There are loads of retailers selling it at that price though.

I think blizzard know if they tried to charge any more than £35 for a computer game people in the UK just wouldnt buy it, but its wierd cos the collectors edition is £130 ($197), I don't understand it lol

In the Netherlands it's as expensive as any other game:

Normal Edition: € 59,99
Collectors Edition: € 89,99
Normal PC Games: around € 50,- / € 60,- on release.

According to Google, € 59,99 is equal to ~73,47 USD.

"According to Google".. I'd say it would be better next time to be "According to your national bank currency courses or EU central bank". Google lol

But when Blizzard said 60 USD doesnt that mean the same value for no matter what currency? That's far more than 60 USD, unless that's the idea. I've purchased stuff from EU that in the US would be twice as cheap, so that must be the point.
