All the assets and information as well as methods cannot be explained in one post, and therefore that is the reason why you must read tutorials in the tutorial section of The Hive Workshop, the link to which is http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=278 .
Please, take your time and read these tutorials.
By the way, the file path of the Warcraft III World Editor is C:\Local Disk\Program Files\Warcraft III. It will be found within that folder.
Always remember the golden rule of mapping: "Keep trying and trying. For every failure, there comes a bit of mapping experience."
I was a newbie too in start (lying I born with WE knowladge)
I opened WE put some units modified them etc etc
then I opened trigger editor
readed events actions etc to gain information about them
I made basic triggers
