hostile small sight range (noticing nearby people)

how do i make a unit only attack people when they come withing a small range of the hostile unit

like they have a range of noticing people and attacking within 350 range?

There are also fields in the GamePlay constants like Creep Guard Distance and hmm.. Things like that.
