Well, Bind Guardian is a Progressive Metal group from Germany. They're characteristic style is the use of overdubs on their studio works, and having fans sing the overdubs at concerts. They use complex melodies, the good old double bass and the lead singer Hansi teamed up with the lead singer of Iced Earth to create their poject band Demons and Wizards. http://www.blindguardian.com should have some samples, if not check out their myspace http://www.myspace.com/blindguardian

The thing I like most is that all of their songs are in some wa or anothr influenced by the works of J.R.R TolkOne Cd of theirs, Nightfall in Middle Earth is based entirely around The Silmarillion (the tracks follow the story of the Silmarillion in order with the book). Very epic stuff, very nice sound, recommend for all LOTR fans, prog metal fans, prog rock fans. It's enjoyable and easy to listen to because although it's very fast music and the guitars are crazy, progressive metal bands are characteristic for not featuring the death-grunt vocals of so many other metal bands. If your into this kind of stuff definetly check it out :)

Yea well here in Brisbane we had a Coldplay conset a while ago, but I hate Coldplay so I didn't want to go to that :), and not to long ago we had a Woflmother concet here, but unfortunatly I didn't find out about it until about a day before it was on.

I wouldn't mind seeing Living End as well, quite a few other bands, like Turbonegro and AC/DC

er...don't you guys mean concert? damn europeans warping my english language :p anyway, bob you will never have the chance to see AC/DC even if they were still touring because they have been banned from performing concerts in Australia because their concerts got so violent and such. If they ever have a reunion tour or something though and they come to Canada i'll get to see them rather then the people of their native country XD
