Heroes - ideas needed

Ok for starters, I am making an AoS map...Yes, i can see you all looking at this and click the big green "Back" arrow on your toolbar just because your thinking, "Oh no...another crappy AoS like DotA with unbalanced everything. Why should i give any hero ideas for a map that will just turn out bad?" I can't guarentee this map will be the biggest hit on B.Net or anything like that but i am keeping the hero amount reasonably small for each faction and working on balancing them as best as i can for fun even gameplay instead of heaving like 70 heroes and having like 10 of them stronger than anything in the game and the rest weak. I have a few hero ideas already and most of the map is already done the only things i really need to do are some units(creeps and towers and such) and the heroes of course. All im asking is that you of Wc3sear.ch lend your creative minds for a post or two and give out some unique hero ideas(if you have ideas for spells that these heroes should have this will help immensly). Anything will help so please don't just leave this alone. Credit will of course be given as due to all who have helped me with these ideas. Thank you in advance!

For one thing, giving some additional information about your AoS might be helpful in coming up with hero ideas. Without that, suggestions will be generic - elemental mage (or 1 mage per element), etc.

Name: Battle of the Realms (name is feasible and may change before the map is done)

Factions:
-Ivory Empire
-Obsidian Alliance

Terrain(it does not really matter so much but): Icecrown Glacier(snow and ice...cold)

Story:
Once, long ago before our fathers and our grandfathers the world was whole. A rich and abundant land it was. Rolling hills silhouetted by the skies and lush green forests of thriving life. The people, many and active, arrived in this world whether from lands unknown or descendent from the countried people. War was not uncommon but, peace was the ruler of the land and it had stayed this way.
Kingdoms and empires rose from the earth like a seed born from glory and honor of the people. The most magnificent of all was The Ivory Empire whose walls stood embracing the people of the land in safety and security. All people thought that it would stand forever enduring all who opposed it...
...and than in one year, a year filled with sorrow and despair, it was all lost.
Nobody knew at the beginning who they were but after that year they all knew their name, The Obsidian Alliance, said to have been born by demons but chose to take human form. They came sweeping down through the mountains, fire burning in their soul with a hatred in their eyes and bloodlust in their heart. The Ivory Empire had but no choice to fight, for victory or death at these monsters hands was of little consequence, just to bring this land back to its former peacefulness.


Ok just a quick little story hopefully some ideas will come now ;) (suggestions on anything are welcome too if you have any)

Heres my Hero Idea

Name:Lord Byron
Side:The Obsidian Alliance
Model:Death Knight Model,the model I used for him was the WoW Version of the Death Knight but the normal one will do.
Primary Attribute:Strenght,and a small splash ability,like a 50 range radius.
Abilities:Death Flash,a stronger version of Shockwave and the model for it is the Advance Death tower attack. Death Raise, a level version of Raise Dead, each level increase ammount of skeletons +2 and skeleton mages start at level 2, +1 for each level. Shadow Barrier,Basically Thorns aura,But sounds cooler. Ultimate: Falling Meteorite, Like Inferno but the Fall does 200 damage and instead summons a very strong Doom Guard,Each level increases the power of the Doom guard by damage +10,armor+2,and Hp+200.

Well enough off-topic... I have an idea. It's very basic though, as it hasn't really had time to develope.

Slayer of Darkness:

Faction: Obsidian Alliance

Basic: Cleaving Strike - Slashes into an opponent, dealing heavy damage to that single unit, and spreading dark energy unto the units near the targeted unit. Splash percentage and main damage increase each level.

Secondary: Slayer's Strike - Deals very high damage to a single unit, but lowers attack speed by 20% for 5 seconds. Damage increases with every level.

Passive: Energy Sap - Steals a percentage of the damage dealt in mana from the target of the Slayer of Darkness's attacks. Percentage increases with levels.

Ultimate: Doom Curse - Deals damage to a unit per second until that unit dies or has the curse removed. Damage per seconds increases each level.

Proper Names
  • Couldn't think of any names...

You should probably use the Arthas w/ Frostmourne for this model.

Agility based

abils: chill: (poison dagger) deals small dmg and slows for some time dealing dmg over time as well.

Frozen strikes: (slow poison) slows targets by a small % for a duration when he hits.

Freezing Aura: (devotion aura) reduces enemy armors by some.

Snow's Mastery: (tinker upgrader) increases effects of all abilities.

Snow's Masstery could be changed if you find it hard to work on it.

hmm...

this actually a secret hero i made for one of my maps but anyway...

Name: The Shadow
Alliance: Ivory Empire
Skills:
(wind walk) Shadow Walk
(attribute bonus) Ancient Memories - Was also drunken brawler, 's just for combat really.
(Feral Spirit) The Dark Warrior
(ultimate - Metamorphasis) The Unknown Entity

History: The Shadow was once a mortal like any other. He served in the imperial legion of the Army of Dae Run (pronounced Day Rune) On of the various expeditions to the ruins if the ancients he came across an artifact. Upon approaching this artifact he was englufed in a sea of darkness and plunged into the fiery hell of the Demonic Legion. The Shadow has no memories of his former life but contains knowledge of the Ancients and their combat techniques. A crystal around his neck is all that remains of the body he once inhabited.

That's just what i used.

I have descriptions of the abilities as well, but no point if your not interested and they're just what i called them. The model is a demon hunter with r:000 b:000 and g:000 tint. He's supposed to be transparent but i can't find that so meh.

Wow Xander. I have a spell just like that. Except the hero also moves slower afterwards.
Great minds think alike or simply no more original ideas in the world? Hahahah. Just kidding. *goes to check out Xander's clan*

Name: Conjurer of the Frozen War
Faction: Ivory Empire (something like human right?)
Race: Human snow&ice+war mage.

Skills:
Frozen Orders
-Area of effect spell
-Orders Units to attack a certain spot
-Increases attack damage and gives a cool special effect on the weapon ressembling som ice thingy


Cry of the Ancient
-A spell that creates a crater/earthquake with alot of ice.
-Area of effect spell
-Damages and slows effected units with a cool ice special effect thing
-At the end it makes a ice elemental


Ice trap
-Traps a target unit in ice making it unable to attack , move pr do anything else.


The last cry of the abbandoned army
-Area of effect spell
-Something like stampede
-Makes ghosts walk in the area of effect wich deal damage on impact
-looping spell

Matarael, decreasing the hero's attack speed is actually what I meant :p.

Here's another I thought up in the bathroom...(hey wait...maybe you didn't need to know that...) Well, here goes nothing.

Ancient Blade(yes it's a hero!!!):

Faction: Obsidian Alliance

Basic: Dark Spirit - Summons a dark spirit to assist the ancient blade in combat. Also deals damage in an area around the caster. Deals X damage. X=25, X=50, X=100, X=125, X=175, X=225.

Secondary: Dark Magic - Freezes time in an area around the caster for X seconds(The Ancient Blade can move..). X=2, X=4, X=6, X=8, X=10, X=15.

Passive: Breakthrough - Once this passive ability reaches level 6, the Ancient Blade can attack (It couldn't before...). The attack is very powerful, and is moderately fast with magic damage.

Ultimate: Doom Spirit - Unleashes the demon inside of the Ancient Blade. The demon is very powerful, and lasts for 60 seconds. If the demon dies before the summoning timer is up, the Ancient Blade is destroyed. (Levels:)Moderately Powerful Demon, Very Powerful Demon, Extremely Powerful Demon.
