Hero Tower

When creating a building from a hero it wont have a groundplate.

So what is the easiest way to make a hero tower with triggers?

It should be sellable and destructable.

And tower shouldnt not be displayed on the left side on the screen.

do you mean like those towers in tower-defence map?

in object editor note the field ground texture. just use the ground texture of a guard tower.

you probably want to make a copy of guard tower (as a new custom unit), set art-model to the model of your hero and set attack data and stats...

Maybe i didnt explain it right.

I want to make a Tower, that can level like a hero.

The Problem is just the fact, that making a building out of a hero wont work.
There is no groundplate (like that around towers). You cant ecen choose one.

So my question is what is the easiest way to create such a tower.

I would make an ordinary tower, and if that is build i switch it with a hero and a fake tower (scale 0, just groundplate).

My problem is, when the hero is sold how to correctly remove the other tower (the groundplate ?).

The only suggestion I could give is:
create a dummy unit that is a building, has locust and no attack. Give it the ground texture, and make the model itself disappear.

then make a trigger that whenever a unit finishes constructing and the constructed building type = the hero tower, create the dummy unit at position of constructed unit...

Just made this work...... but it's hard to set the hero to the right place, just creating it at the old units position will make an offset.....
