My problem is pretty noobish but I can't seem to get it right and everywhere else I ask no one really gives my question the time of day.
I'm using custom models but the pathing on them doesn't work.
I'll use screen shots to show exactly what I mean and to demonstrate that they work in the original map but not mine.

(Map has been saved and restarted after importing and adding as a model and again after placement)

The first three screen shot is of some files I grabbed from another map.

Originalmpa3.jpg

The next screen shot is of those models working in the original map.

The next three screen shots are of the files that Ive imported from the other map into my map.

The next four screen shots are of a model from the original map that Ive imported to my map and have added to a hero.

Please note that the mdx format turns to mdl when selected (don't know if thats a problem or not)

The last screen shot is of the green cube of eternal struggle and torment.

I had a theory that its because the files were in mdx format, so I converted them to mdl format and tried but got the same problem, plus I'd prefer to keep them in mdx format because it greatly reduces the file size. (this worked a bit better, the mdl format that is, the models worked at first but when I saved they turned into the green squares even though when I had imported them I could place them on the map and the files would work)

For the love of whatever you love please help me?
and for everyone that looks but doesn't post a reply Satan kills an adorable kitten...you....don't....endorse Satan killing cute little kittens....do you?

1. you deprotected someones map...
2. you are an narutard...:xxd:

and i don't want to help you

1. Actually I downloaded this map from epicwar.
2. I'm an anime freak.
3. Satan hasn't killed a kitten because you actually posted :)

EDIT
Pardon it wasn't epicwar
it was this site http://forum.wc3edit.net/fulfilled-requests-f13/naruto-shippuuden-rpg-1-0a-t5352.html
I know who made the models so the credit still goes to them and considering most of these models are easy to come by and can be found on this forum or on a google search I'd say they are fair game (unlike Demon-ye models)

okay, first off, very few people like to tackle every person on the field at the same time(im saying, Big Problems = None wants to help, atleast here :p)

anyhow, you can start by focusing on 1 model. Why isnt THIS model working? Maybe its the same problem with the other ones :p

Thats why I demonstrated only with the Sauske model for starters. That problem fixes all problems.
Sorry for the scrolling, but the pictures are necessary. (the pathing is supposed to be default for these models including the one Ive used to demonstrate)

okay, after looking fastly through those files, i saw something

in the map you imported FROM(where the models work) many of the files do not have the war3mapImported/ path that all of yours seem to have

try to redirect all those files to the same as in the original map

well, then maybe you are missing the files

Sasuke1.blp
Sasuke2.blp
Sasuke2ndFormIcon.blp
Sasuke3.blp
SasukeIcon.blp

unless there is another model using those textures :p
Thats where we get to the part that I'm hazy about.
I checked the model itself for its pathing using MDX Pather and it says Sauske1.blp, Sauske2.nlp and Sauske3.blp
But I'm not sure what to do from here. Most models I use just require the pathing to be correct and thats it.

Could you explain what to do with the Sauske1,2 and 3.blp textures please?

EDIT I tried copying the original map for the .blp pathing as well as the Sauskeshuppu.mdx pathing.

annnnnd it worked :)

I completely get how to do this now in no small part thanks to you.
Thank you for the time and patience you put into teaching me how to do this properly.

Well if this is only in the world editor, then don't worry about...

With my models when I import them on world editor they appear as green and black checkered boxes, but in game they work fine...somehow...
